Wright Thick Cut Applewood Bacon has become my favorite brand of baxon. I like to cook it in the oven and the fat part just melts in my mouth. Sometimes I even add a mixture of honey and brown sugar on top when I want a sweet bacon. Can't go wrong with Wright Brand.

The last 2 or 3 times I bought this bacon has been somewhat disappointing. More fat than anything. Bacon is fatty thats for sure but its come to a point that I felt I paid $14.98 each time for just fat.Will i buy again, probably my household loves bacon. There use to be a time where there was a good combination of meat and fat, now its almost all fat. The strips you see out side the package has some meat but the rest is all fat.

Prior to purchasing this brand bacon in November 2023, the bacon used to cook up nice and thick. Now they clearly figured out how to water log the bacon because it now cooks down to the same thickness as regular bacon. I cannot believe for a milisecond anyone else hasnt noticed the same thing who normally purchased this Wright brand bacon as I have for at least (10) years. Now they ruined my favorite bacon. Seems now adays they are so fiendish for making every penny they care 0% about quality. Dont be fooled, Wright bacon thick cut looks thick before cooking, but it no longer stays thick. I think that the consumers need to demand No More saline solutions added to meat.

AND if you look at the fine print on the label, extra thick cut especially for SAMS vs what u find in retail stores. I start every morning with this and there are some packs that are so perfectly seasoned, makes me wanna slap my mama.. but my ex will do... ;) Enjoy if u make the switch cause u won't go Back! I bake mine at 400 degrees for 18-20 mins.... yummmmmmmm Don't try to cook too many in one tray (too much grease); 6-7 max

Recovery from even leanest store bacon is like 25-30%. Rest is lost in pan in grease unless you have some use for it. So this over priced bacon at $4.25/lb raw equates to like $12.75/lb cooked. Can buy USDA prime ribeye steak for that price. Hmm. What's in your skillet?

Great flavor, cooks up well, smells good. Sometimes it might be cut a little weird, but I try to pick out the packages that look best. In my opinion, this has a much better flavor than the hickory bacon. As of 1/20/2024, we haven't seen it in the store. Please get more in the store!

Been buying and enjoying this bacon for all the years (15+) of my Sam's membership. Occiasuonally, I found myself often picking through several double packages in the cooler to find less fat more meat. Often getting what I wanted. Thick cut, great flavor, high quality product.

We love Wrights bacon but purchasing from a grocery store got really expensive so we stopped. Went home for the holidays and forgot the bacon and nephew saved breakfast with this humongous pack that he got from Sam’s. Yeah, it’s $22 but it’s also 4 pounds! It’s best in the air fryer

Been purchasing this bacon for a long time and it has gone up in price and down on quality. Picked one up curbside yesterday and when I got home I was going to put one in freezer and one in frig.. when I cut the package in half I realized one of them was half the size. I weighed it and it came to 2.8 lbs. NO WHERE CLOSE TO 4 LBS ADVERTISED PRICE and definitely NOT worth $25.

I have bought this 2 times now and both times it has had a sour flavor. It was not expired, but was close. It looked great, smelled great. I really wanted to like it, but it seems it has been bad both times. The color is still red or pinkish, but it is very slimy on the outside. I just hoped it was the flavoring that was slimy and this was normal, but both times it has had a strong sour flavor. This morning I ate some and was tired afterwards. I took a nap and when I woke up, I was dizzy. I do not know that it was from the bacon and I really hope it was not bad, but because this has been my experience both times now, I will not buy this bacon again. The bacon is very expensive and seems like a very good quality, but I am worried it is bad. I don't know if the sour flavor is normal(maybe from the applewood?) and the sliminess on the outside is normal(maybe from the flavoring?). I am not comfortable buying it again.
