flour

The flour contains barley which gives it an “off “ smell which effects the end result.

DO NOT BUY!

Clumpy and feels wet so it needs to be sifted twice. I will never buy again as its the second bag I buy with the same issue!

The package arrived broken (torn) at the top of the package. A lot of it spilled out into the shipping box. The wife is not happy...

great flour for bread

Nice flour with 12% protein, good for breads, but to strong for cakes, I wish Sam's club would have pastry flour.

Bugs and damp lumps

Flour was damp and had bugs upon opening it. I've ordered it many times before with no issues but there must have been some storage or shipping issues this time. I'll try again but if more problems will switch to another brand

Don't waste your time or money

As a mom to young kids, I bake and cook a lot. I have tried many different types of economy flours- WalMart brand, Aldi brand, Kroger brand to name a few. Although they all vary in quality and final product, they remain, to put it simply, edible. I was extremely excited to try Members Mark flour. It was the best price per pound I have found in a long time. However, all those dollars save don't count for much when you have to throw your baked goods away after a single taste. I have tested this flour in cinnamon rolls (using 8 cups instead of the called for 5), gravy (which turned out lumpy and with an overwhelming flour taste), and now pancakes (which took 6 cups of the flour instead of 3, taste of nothing but flour now, and are an unappetizing pale yellow color instead of the typical golden brown). None of these are complicated recipes. I did not change any part of the recipe other than the flour. I will never buy this flour again and now face the decision of whether or not to throw away the remaining 20 pounds of flour. What a waste- in more ways than one.

Excellent AP Flour

With all the COVID19 stock piling, flour is hard to come by and so I gave this 25lb bag a try and everything came out delicious. Great if you're stuck at home and baking a lot. Do be aware that 25lb of flour is a lot and if you're just an occasional baker, this is going to be too much for you. I've been baking daily and this serves me well. Good quality too. Much better than another generic brand I was using before.
