Two-pound bags of Nishiki rice can range from $5 to $9, depending on where it is purchased. I was looking for an alternative that was cheaper, and in bulk. The texture and glutinous quality is similar. This is a life saver for people who do not prefer dry rice, or who like authentic east Asian dishes. I don't have to give up on my asperations of starting an onigiri business anymore!

Great sticky rice. Makes good sushi, kappa maki, and fried rice. Just really good for any Asian dishes. And you can't beat the price.

So glad I found this here. Cooks up fluffy and sticky just like I grew up with. Love to make a pot of this then dig in with chicken, pork, whatever! Smells really good too.

The rice is one of the best that you could buy from a non-oriental market. It has more chewy texture than those westen and Mexican style rices. You may even use it for making sushi.
