Living in Southeast Texas along the Gulf Coast, generators are a necessity. During hurricane season especially. The freeze last year was also a time that a generator was needed. This Westinghouse fits the bill....runs all the electrical outlets needed to maintain LIFE WITHOUT ENTERGY.....

This dismay second Westinghouse generator. I upgraded to a Tri-Fuel model to avoid lugging propane canisters through the snow. It has plenty of power to run my well, heater, refer, washer/dryer, microwave, lights and all my entertainment devices. I especially love the remote start feature for those cold mornings where I want to warm my home before getting up.

I purchased this as a back-up for power outages and to occasionally run power hungry tools. Assembly was fairly easy and start up went smooth. The electric start feature is great and in the two or three times I've used it so far worked as expected. The very first time you start it, it takes the starter takes a couple of tries (since all the fluids are drained for shipping). So far I've used it to run an electric pressure washer that will trip a 15 amp circuit, and the generator doesn't even seem to notice it when it is running. I've only used it with gas so far, but like the fact that I can keep a tank of propane handy to use in case of an emergency. So far I'm quite pleased with the purchase and value for the money.

It took 3 weeks to get here but everyone in California was buying a generator when i ordered the WGen9500DF generator. Just received on NOV 14, 2019. Put it together rear wheels and front legs (easy). Added oil, hooked up propane tank and it fired up with three cranks. LOVE IT !!! I live in a 37 foot fifth wheel RV so most important to me is the 50AMP plug and enough wattage in power my complete RV when the power goes out AGAIN and it will. Next is to buy a transfer switch.

We bought this only recently, and have not tried it out yet. That being said, the unit looks great and has a lot of nice features (remote start, dual fuel, ample wattage). Only hiccup so far was an issue with the wheel installation. The one axle hole was too small, and the wheel couldn't go on. We eventually reached a service rep who told us this was an issue multiple customers were having, so they advised us to hit the axle pin with a hammer. (Not something we were going to do without their say so! Didn't want to void the warranty before we even used it...) Thankfully, this solution worked for us. Now we're just waiting for the electrician to hook us up with an outlet and an interlock kit, and we'll be good to go. Hoping we don't have to use it anytime soon, but are happy we have it on hand in case we do!

This generator replaced a smaller generator I had for 8 years but suffered catastrophic engine failure. This machine is heavily constructed with a welded all tubular frame, 457 cc duel fuel engine, and 12500 peak watts. The machine came with standard 3/8 propane hookup which I attached my quick connect hose within minutes. A total of 45 minutes to unbox, add oil( comes with 4cycle oil), attach wheels, and hook up battery and propane hose. Once I attached to propane tank I pressed the start button on control panel and on 3rd crank the unit started humming. It is a beautiful machine, solid construction, and generous paperwork for instructions and replacement parts. Nothing was missing from the box nothing damaged. I can't wait for the next power failure.

I didn't have to use this for a few months. When I did, I was so thrilled. My house lost power and it started right up and kept running for hours before needing refueling. It powered all of the circuits we needed to keep us warm and safe until power was restored a few days later. The remote start feature is cool and the generator itself gives you the option of using it for a 220V circuit or 120V.

I've been eyeing the WGen9500DF for over a year now. After carefully researching all the brands the Westinghouse won the race! Package arrive quickly and the unit looks awesome and well built. Assembly took all of 5 minutes, simple. Added some fuel and it started right up.

Received generator 2 weeks ago. Have not as yet needed to use it for it purpose but, our propane co. has installed and tested it . We like the remote startup feature. Feel more secure now for when we have power outages that can last for weeks. Thanks Westinghouse

This is the generator you would want to have! It fits all the plug in applications you would ever need. I've worked in the field and have gone through finding the right machinery to do what this one does, in one application, and I've always had to get two to get it done. Way to go Westinghouse!
