My family would rate this generator outstanding. The power of this unit is stronger than we had anticipated. We needed an generator to start up our house heaters, keep our refrigerator running and our lights on during an outage. It did more than that. There wasn't anything in the house that we couldn't use. We spent several cold days and nights when our power went out. We are pleased with this unit because it was easy to learn how to use and easy to install.

I bought this on the recommendation of my brother who had purchased one earlier in the year. He gave it glowing reviews and I am in complete agreement! The dual fuel option makes it extremely convenient and I regularly switch back and forth with no problems. No question the generator is more efficient in the Gas mode but the flexibility to also operate it with propane is worth the drop in wattage/use time. The push button starts every time and the remote fob is handy and icing on the cake. Push button start is very convenient but you have the piece of mind of a manual pull start just in case the 12v battery gets low. I primarily use this generator to provide temporary power to a water well and a 50 amp fifth wheel and it does the job with ease. I demand reliability from my equipment and expect it to start when I need it and this generator has not let me down. Take care of your equipment, and it will take care of you and I expect this Westinghouse WGen9500DF will be part of my arsenal of tools for many years to come.

The dual fuel feature is so nice to have. I always have propane on hand, so this is a very convenient feature. This size unit is perfect for our family in the event of a power outage, as it is capable of running all of our essential appliances. Great product!

I just got my Westinghouse generator and it is a very solid machine. As some people noted, the wheels aren't intended for extended use but this generator is heavy enough that I couldn't imagine moving it a lot. I'm going to be using it for backup power at my house so it will pretty much be stationary any ways. I haven't fired it up yet but I will report back when I have.

I just bought this and everything checks out just fine. I am concerned that I can't seem to find the two high altitude kits I need for operating at 9200 feet. Otherwise, it easily power selected circuits in our house, including being able to start our well pump (8000w start up). I never thought I would ever say, "Can't wait for the next power outage."

I bought this generator to operate some medical equipment in the event of a power outage. Units seems well built and started right up. the push button and remote start are very convenient. I was also please with the dual fuel capabilities. I added a generator transfer switch to my existing breaker panel and was able to run central air, fridge, freezer and several room circuits with this unit with no problems.

Just came today. Nicely packed and no damage to the unit. Filled the oil put some gas in it and it started with zero issues. My house isn't set up to plug into the gen yet so the best I could do was running the pool and hot tub for a few hours. No problems, keeping them going, the real test will be after the house is set up for it

Easy to assembly wheels, love the remote start. I didn't even have to program the remote. Started after 3 attempts and starts manually faster by choking. I easily handled by well pump draw. Haven't used in emergency yet. Also big plus to be able to run on propane!

Great generator! Would recommend to friends and family. Smooth and quiet running. It was easy to assemble however one of the bolt holes that the wheel mounts up to got a little plugged during the powder coating process and I had a hard time starting the bolt. If you run into this problem simply thread the bolt in from the back side to clean out the threads. Remove the bolt and reinstall it according to the directions. Super quick and easy fix. Other than that small little hitch....great product! You wont be disappointed.

I bought this in January ahead of a series of winter storms as a whole house backup. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It works great with my breaker direct connect and powers the essentials in my house, well pump, lights and heat. I can't imagine not having it. Easy to use and a well thought out control panel and plug system on the front. Love it!
