The generator is heavy, but comes with wheels and can be moved. The instructions are clear and the set up is easy. Everything you need for the different options you only need to buy a plug if you are connecting it to your home. The generator is functional, came with the oil needed prior to starting it the first time. The noise level isn't bad, it's fuel efficient, and is a good value for the money.

I purchased this generator (Model WGEN9500DFc) during hurricane Milton in 2024 in Florida. The unit performed flawlessly and the fact that is a dual fuel unit made waiting in long lines for gas a thing of the past. It supplied my house with all the power required, and then some Could not be happier with this unit' Than You Westinghouse !

Came fully assembled except wheels, feet, and oil. Instructions were easy. I ran off propane and it started right up. Love the push button electric start and key fob start. Also more quit than expected. Feels very solid. Much better quality than the ones I have borrowed in the past.

Just received this in time for a windstorm. I decided to start with propane and absolutely love it. We have several outages a year and most are going to be back in 24 hours. I will buy a 35 or 40 gallon propane tank with a gauge so that I can comfortably get through a night without worry. This will also be much easier for my wife if anything happens when I am away. At our age the push button start is vital too. I also upgraded to this larger size so I can run the whole house without fear of overloading it. I could not be a happier camper.

I recently paired the Westinghouse 9500 with an interlock system for seamless power transitions during outages, and I couldn't be happier with the setup. The generator is incredibly easy to use and set up, even for someone without much experience. The remote start is a standout feature for those with a bad back like me. As far as capacity goes, I am able to support my base load, my 3.5 ton downstairs A/C unit along with 2-4 major appliances without the need of a soft-start on the A/C unit. One thing to note: it's heavy. Moving it can be tricky if you're not prepared. Take it from me—fully extend the handle before trying to move it. Trust me, it makes a world of difference (learned that the hard way, lol). Overall, it's a solid, dependable generator that performs exactly as advertised. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a powerful and user-friendly portable generator!

I bought this on Christmas Eve 2020 after a storm had downed our power line. The generator that I already had failed to start initially, and when I did get it running, wouldn't generate any power. Fortunately for that event, just as I had finished unpacking the generator and fueling it, our main power was restored. The next day, I returned to the garage to test this new unit, and after engaging the choke, pressed the starter button and it fired up immediately. It's great to have the small screen that shows the voltage (240) that's generated. It also has an hour meter so you know where you are in a maintenance cycle. Remember to press the GFI?/breaker? button in the middle of each 120V plug set to enable as in poor light I missed it, thinking they were not working. I especially like the electric starter compared to none on my previous 10hp unit. I am very pleased with my purchase!

After researching and seeing other brands, I decided to get the Westinghouse WGEN9500DF and am impressed! The unit was well packaged and needed minimal set-up. Everything was included… which is not with a lot of others. Love the handle and how easy it is to roll and move and store! Fired up and did a moderate test with freezer and well pump load. Very confident with this purchase that when and if I need it - whether with my propane or gasoline - I will have power!

After much research I settled on this generator. Enough wattage to run my whole house on natural gas, plus I have the options for propane and gasoline also. The low => 5%Thd was a must. the generator it replaces had 12+%, which would trip my battery backups. I have not run it yet as they are installing my natural gas line to the area of the generator tomorrow. I do not plan to put any gas in this generator unless i have to for lack NG/LPG.

I bought this due to living in Texas with Hurricane season coming. Hurricane in the Gulf and I went to set it up and it wouldn't work. I called service department they were great. Missing fuse would be mailing in 5-7 days. I said since you sold me an expensive broke generator shouldn't you overnight the part. Their reply 5-7 days. So here a sit after hurricane with no electricity and a defective generator in my garage.

Great generator! Started right up on propane once I realized the fuel selector switch is mislabeled on the generator. The switch, actually, is up for gasoline and down for propane, as per the manual. See attached photo differences between generator and manual.
