After learning about portable generators, my son, his father-in-law, and I all three independently settled on this model portable over other portables and over whole house. It was easy to get an electrician to put in the necessary, electrical plug, and the electrical panel and to get a plumber to ensure the right piping and flow of natural gas over to the location. This is bringing me great peace of mind as we enter hurricane season.

I just purchased the Westinghouse WGEN12000DF generator After my electrician visited to install my transfer panel, I hooked everything up and started my generator, Everything was wonderful. 60g 4500W hot water tank, 12000btu ductless heat pump, kitchen light and small round stove, TV and computer all worked like a charm with the low THD -5%. I'm ready for the next storm and the next power outage. Just one problem, have some friends with you so you can get this generator out of its wood create. Be careful when you connect sensitive electronic devices such as a heat pump you cannot use the low idles. Variation with the Herz. This should be indicated on the product sheet.

I bought the WGen2000 TFc as a whole home (2000 sq ft with 220v oven, 4 ton a/c and all the other normal home stuff) backup generator since we lose power frequently. Build quality looks good. Packaging was great. Need to schedule a electrician to install a generator plug and panel interlock. We are excited to get this up and running. I may even use this for my 220v tig welder. I gave 4 stars since I haven't used the generator yet, but everything looks great so far.

Purchased generator in October they dropped in my driveway within a half hour from receiving I tried to start and starter was grinding against the flywheel I called Westinghouse no one answered phone so I left a message. Next day I received a email telling me a starter was on the way I asked who was installing they sent me a list of service places to bring it to mind you it's 410lbs. I received the starter and replaced it my self and it was doing the same thing so I called Amex they got Westinghouse to replace the unit. The new unit they sent me is doing the exact same thing now I'm told it's a warranty issue and they won't take it back. I received it opened box and tried to start within a half an hour of receiving I didn't have it for six months or a year. It never worked so how is it my problem if Westinghouse is selling defective generators.

I first bought a 9500df for a welding trailer rig that I was setting up. However, I discovered that the 9500df puts out 23%THD and the welder would go in safe mode when on high settings. I contacted Westinghouse and found out that I needed the 12000df model that puts out <5% THD and costed twice as much. But it works awesome with my multi processor welder. Also, it has a "low idle" switch that isn't in the manual or shows up in the web site photos. This is a cool feature that is more for job site application so your generator idles down when it's not pulling any power.

Bought this generator as Westinghouse was recommended by our electrician. Looking for a size that could power all things needed if/when a power outage would occur. Wanted a Tri-Fuel as this will be set up for natural gas, but have the flexibility to run on regular gas or propane.

Just received and setup the generator. Overall its a very nice unit. Had my electrician put a hookup on my home to plug this into when power goes out....and I say "when" because it happens too often. Fairly quiet for the engine size, looks good, lots of connections. After setup I ran it for a bit just as a test. My electrician is coming back to test it on the house once my adapter cord arrives. A few items that I noticed while getting this setup which need to be addressed by the design/development team at Westinghouse..... 1. The oil funnel provided is OK but hard to get the angle to the engine fill and oil can spill back out of the provided funnel because the angle is so flat. Why not put an oil fill tube for easier access/filling for a unit at this price point 2. The oil dipstick is difficult to pull and then even more difficult to insert back without a gap that allows leaks. The wire handle is flimsy and this could be so much easier with a better design. 3. The assembly for wheels requires flat washers as spacers between the plastic wheels and step on the axle shaft. However, there is NO space to fit the washers and get the clevis/cotter pins installed so I had to leave the washers off. Just a bad design on this item. 4. Connecting the battery is a pain. The positive was connected already but the ground was not. However, you have to lay on your side on the ground and try to fit your hands inside the frame and feel for the bolt hole to assemble the nut and tighten it down. There is no room for this unless one has lady hands. Moving the battery outward would allow better and easier access to connect the battery ground. Just a few items that I noticed. None are deal killers and some are one time tasks unless/when you have to change the battery. Overall I really like the unit and looking forward to testing on the house this next week. My expectations are high for a quality unit to have as a backup generator.

Finally picked up the 14500TFc after waiting for them to come back in stock. Haven't had to use it yet, but hurricane season is coming. Tons of features and easy to use. Can burn 3 different fuel types, but I plan to have my setup to connect to my natural gas line when I need to run the house. Relatively easy to move around considering how much it weighs and its size.

I live in florida and bought this after IAN. I have used it twice since during helene and Milton. It ran my whole house minus one or two rooms to i clude a 4 ton ac, two refrigerators, a deep freezer, microwave, 3 bedrooms and living room. It was flawless. Propane and gas switch over is easy. The best part is an oil change is so simple with the extended hose. The nrst home purchase i ever made.

So, today was perfect weather outside. The power goes out unexpectedly. We ran the generator for a full 2 hours on gas until it was empty and power was back on. This generator powers our whole house washer, dryer. AC (4ton), TV, and lights. It did not blink with the load it carried. It is a truly a beast. After a lot of research, we decided on this one to have true back up generator. We had a certified electrician install a 50 amp inlet to the main breaker box. It is worth the peace of of mind to have it done correctly. Then we purchased our cord from Acme Tools. We recommend going with straight blade in the for the generator as it is easy to plug in and pull out. We even bought a customized cover for it. What a great product and the Westinghouse brand is second to none.
