We bought this to plug into our whole home generator plug. Considering that we live near the coast where hurricanes are guaranteed to occur, we needed a reliable source of backup power. This generator worked perfectly and powered everything we needed, including the AC!

I had read other reviews of this product before deciding to buy. I know that in the event of a power outage I will have more than enough power to keep comfortable. The only downside I can see, or should I say hear, is the amount of noise produced. It was advertised as being approximately as loud as a dishwasher. In reality it is closer to that of a gas powered pressure washer. I think this would probably annoy my neighbors at night but oh well, the loud all night parties they have in the summer months annoy me so it balances out. LOL!

I bought this generator after losing power for days after any storm that comes through or area. The 9500DFc will power up all the necessary home infrastructure required. Nice features and solid design with remote start makes this generator a dependable unit.

Out of the box two of the mounts/vibration absorbers connected to the the frame were barely on. Had to tighten them up. No problem, easy fix as I'm already installing the feet. Of course this made me feel like I needed to check every single bolt and nut afterwards lol but everything was good. i was worried about the higher thd (23%) and “sensitive electronics” but no issues have arisen as a result. Love that this is one of the more fuel efficient generators out there. I use the 50amp outlet to an inlet box installed outside my house with interlock on breaker box so as not to back feed etc….powers my furnace, fridge, lights etc… just don't use stuff like your oven, blow dryers, laundry dryers… you know… things that make electrical heat. my wife is mad about all the upfront costs of the entire set up (electrical install costs, generator, propane (because propane stores forever as long tank integrity is still good vs 6months for gasoline plus in large scale outages everybody wants gasoline), cable) but she can thank me later when the next derecho hits or other abnormally long interruption in power

I bought this generator on Monday and it was delivered to my house on Friday. I unpacked it and found no damage at all and it was very easy to install the wheels and feet to the frame. I hooked up the gas line and propane a pushed the start button and it started after 1 try !! I will be ready for the hurricanes this year and many years to come. This a quality built unit at a very reasonable price.

I chose this generator after LOTS of research. It is very easy to set up, has lots of power, not as noisy as expected, dual fuel capable, has remote start key fob, simple push button start, simple to use, great control panel, lots of outlets, fuel gauge, hour meter, large fuel tank, comes with propane hose to connect to tank, comes with battery tender, comes with oil and spark plug wrench, very well built, great costumer service, easy to move, what more could you ask for!

I did many search and compare various brands of generator such as : Westinghouse, Firman, Champion, Cummins. Finally, I picked WESTINGHOUSE. This brand offer good price with high performance. Outlets are made sturdy, furthermore it is built with many features. The noise of level is acceptable (~75db) at 20feet away.

I've been needing to replace our old generator for years, and according to the news casts proclaiming power outages in the Midwest this summer, now is the time to do it. I did the preliminaries as recommend by the manual and it starts and runs with no hiccups. I will be going through the break-in procedures next to seat the rings, etc. I do wish this item was made here in the U.S. instead of Vietnam, though.

Being retired and in our first year in Florida and not knowing what to expect during hurricane season, my wife and I wanted a portable generator to help when city electric is down and not available during a storm. We purchased the WGen9500DF to power our home AC unit along with other kitchen appliances. The wireless remote allows us to stay indoors and start generator when needed and avoid the need to go outside and get wet. The designers did a good job on this unit.

I just recieved unpacked ran through setup and all is well. Using it as home backup power with a manual transfer switch installed on house panel 50amp plug.. Just in time.....power outage last night and it was used. Ran great all night even with the well pump. Used both Gas and Propane....no issues either way. Neighbors all jealous we had power all night and today with 103 degree temp. No issues. So far so good! A little noisy.
