After researching and seeing other brands, I decided to get the Westinghouse WGEN9500DF and am impressed! The unit was well packaged and needed minimal set-up. Everything was included… which is not with a lot of others. Love the handle and how easy it is to roll and move and store! Fired up and did a moderate test with freezer and well pump load. Very confident with this purchase that when and if I need it - whether with my propane or gasoline - I will have power!

Only 1 month of service so far, so I can't vouch for longevity or dependability but it seems like an all around good product. Shipped to the house, it was well packed and undamaged upon arrival. It has good features and hopefully it will serve my family for many years.

This generator was recommended to us, we returned another one we bought for this one. Glad we did, very easy set up and great start up. Added bonus with the remote start, this is wonderful for those who have a hard time starting a generator. Started right up on the first try!!!

Bought this unit after quite a bit of research and reading other reviews. I will be using it as a back up generator if the situation ever arises. During testing it powered just about everything in my house with no problems. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a portable back up generator.

I've been using the Westinghouse 9500DHc for a few months now, and it's been an absolute game-changer during power outages. I bought this generator a few weeks age it, online pic is deceiving it looks quite big but size is only 2 1/2 feet long x 1 1/2 feet wide & 2 feet high w/o wheels 2 1/2 feet with wheels installed, everything came in one box all I had to do is connect battery install wheels & rubber stands and add oil & gas, easy start, pushed start button started right up, runs nice & smooth.

I've barely reached the break-in period. All good so far. A note for cold weather; get an electric propane cylinder heater (120W) for use in cold weather. At -10F, my full 20 lb cylinder ran the generator for less than an hour before it was unable to vaporize fuel quick enough to feed the generator engine.

We bought this in November 2024 to have in case of power interruptions. It eas easy to assemble the wheels and feet. We added the supplied oil and some gas. It fired 1st press of the start stop with no hesitation. Tested the remote start from 30 foot away and it started with no hesitation. The controll panel is very easy and straight forward. Which helps with someone like me who has never operated a generator before. We have not had a need to run it for an extended time but we are confident it will do the job if necessary. Will be adding a trasfer switch next. Very happy with the purchase.

Because of the active 2020 hurricane season, I decided to add a generator to our hurricane preparedness to avoid a potential extended outage like the 2 weeks without power from hurricane Florence in 2016. I installed a 50 amp connector outside my garage which can be selected with a transfer switch inside the garage. This generator has a 50 amp 240 VAC connection which not all generators have (some only have 30 amp plugs which is very limiting) When I connected it to my home, I was able to run major loads like the refrigerator, a freezer, well pump and both of my home geothermal AC cooling systems for 5000 sq ft area plus lighting and other small loads. The unit didn't seem to bog down or be challenged with the load profile. The unit setup and starting was easy and well documented in the literature. I like the many features built in to the generator and am very pleased with my purchase and feel better prepared for the next hurricane encounter in Wilmington,NC!

Purchased this unit for an upgrade from my other lower wattage Tri-Fuel generator. Easy to setup and off and running in no time. Just fill the engine with the Quart of Oil connect the battery and screw on a BBQ Propane Bottle. Turn the unit on and put the Fuel selector switch to the fuel source. Press the Start Button on the unit and after a couple of cranks it is off and going. Use the Remote Key FAB to remotely Stop and Start the unit. Can't be simpler. A+++
