I bought this a few months ago on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The caramel smell and taste throughout is so delicious I had to go back for a second bottle! review: I received an incentive in exchange for an honest, unbiased review but will buy it again regardless.

In a market with every increasing prices, it is good to know that some things stay consistent. Rare Breed and Rare Breed Rye are both excellent bourbons and are surprisingly reasonable in price. A nice step up from lower shelf bourbons, and a nice step down price-wise from some of the other offerings in the market. Wild Turkey has a great portfolio of products, all at a reasonable price.

The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of sweet spice, charred oak, and a gentle smokiness that leaves a lasting impression. Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a testament to masterful blending and aging, offering a dynamic and refined bourbon experience that is both complex and approachable, perfect for the discerning palate

I assumed you had to pay top dollar for a quality poor and boy, was I wrong! This is now my go to whiskey that has never let me down. Amazing nose and even better palate with a long finish.

Barrel proof, or sipping whiskies of this quality and consistency normally is priced too high and too hard to find. Not this one. It’s readily available and priced perfectly.

This is a full proof bourbon that doesn’t drink “hot” like others. It’s one that can be easily sipped neat, with a splash of water, with one cube or on the rocks. There is some sweetness, with caramel and cinnamon, but it’s not overpowering. It has layers of flavor with spices, wood and leather. For the price, it cannot be beat.

Rare Breed is like having even more joy than WT 101. Given that, WT 101 is the perfect balance of neat-drinking strength, "oakiness" and smoothness, this just allows for letting that greatness happen even better. This beats nearly all other barrel-strength bourbons -- yep!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a bourbon drinker all my adult life but it wasn’t until I tasted Rare Breed that I unlocked what a wonderful world of flavor there is to be had in bourbons. I mostly drank lower proof stuff, Bullett, Buffalo Trace, Balcones, etc… Rare Breed opened my eyes to a whole new world, including the amazing Russell’s Reserve line.

I have been working my way through some reasonably priced bottles and decided to grab the well known Wild Turkey Rare Breed. Its easily my number one bottle so far. Rich, slight complexity. The sweetness is there, but mellowed oak, carmel and a slightly nut all round out this bottle.
