The Best

OMG. THIS IS WHAT BOURBON IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!! Don't question it. Just buy it. Find your favorite glass and sit, sip, and enjoy! Don't question the man that has been there 50+ years. Does anyone realize how many barrels Jimmy Russell has overseen in his time. How can he not be the best?

Great Product

Wild Turkey stands tall among bourbon’s legends, but its identity can get lost in the flock of its own variations, each only subtly distinct. Today’s bourbon boom has paradoxically worked in its favor: with shelves overflowing, the once-sharp contrasts between bottles have softened, leaving drinkers to savor nuance rather than bold separation.

Don't miss out

Incredible bourbon that seems to go overlooked. The dark sugar and vanilla notes on the nose come through in the palate and make this a win for those that know. Neat is my preference but this makes an amazing mixer and elevates any cocktail above and beyond your expectations.

Top shelf quality with breaking the bank

Wild Turkey Rare Breed delivers bold flavor and great value for a barrel-proof bourbon. At 116.8 proof, it balances caramel, vanilla, oak, and spice with surprising smoothness. A few drops of water open up rich depth without losing punch. Powerful yet approachable—one of the best high-proof sippers under $60

Convincing by example made friends believers

My first experience with Rare Breed was shocking. It was 4 years ago and ib my opinion, all bourbons need to compare to the smooth, no afterburner, caramel finish I experienced or I will not drink them!! My friends thought I was nuts because Wild Turkey was not on their list of new bourbons or ? To try. My first blind tasting 7 out of nine chose Rare Breed. I had great bourbons they all liked. They wanted a rematch and had another blind tasting. The results were exactly the same with the other 2 choosing the $22 cheap bourbons. I now see wild turkey at all events and they do not need to spend their paycheck on a bottle!! Thank you!

Great bourbon and a fantastic value!

Rare Breed is one of the best, especially around the $50 price range. Some caramel and vanilla up front, with some oak that lingers on the finish. Very flavorful and drinks smooth for the high proof. Drinks well neat, on ice, or in a whiskey-forward cocktail.

Big bourbon taste at half the price

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is one of those bottles that makes you stop and wonder why you ever paid more for bourbon. It’s bold, full-bodied, and unapologetically rich, the kind of pour that delivers barrel-proof intensity without wrecking your wallet. You get deep caramel and vanilla right up front, followed by that signature Wild Turkey spice that warms you from the inside out. There’s a nice balance of oak and sweetness, and the finish hangs around just long enough to remind you you’re drinking something special. It drinks above its price point and easily competes with bourbons twice the cost. If you like your whiskey big, flavorful, and honest, Rare Breed hits every note.

Best Everyday Bourbon on Store Shelves

I have a small whiskey collection and Rare Breed Bourbon is a 100% must have on one of my shelves at all times. You can try many whiskies between $25-$150 and get inconsistencies one bottle to the next. Rare Breed is the most consistently delicious pour I have ever had in my collection. It out-paces most of my $80-150 bottles with ease!
