It's not a Le Creuset, but for everyday use it pretty darn good for a very, very reasonable price. I let my lady friend use it & may never get it back. It's great for soups, roast, well anything you use a Dutch oven for. Key thing is to make sure that lid fits flat & dose not rock.

One star because the only reason why anyone would buy this is for the enamel coating. The enamel coating is not resilient. We've used and washed twice and enamel coating has chipped in three places; two on lid and one on one of the handles. This thing is nowhere near Le Creuset quality. Performance wise, well, it's heavy, and it's a dutch oven. I already own a Made in USA Lodge cast iron dutch oven and hoped the enamel would have been a nice addition. I'll be saving my money for a Le Creuset.....there is a factory store at State Line/Primm outlets.

This dutch oven is beautiful! I love how evenly it cooks at just medium temperature. The design is smooth and appealing to the eye. Handles are large enough to grasp with potholders and the lid fits snug. I chose to season the cast iron which shows at the seam where the lid and top meet and it looks great! Very happy with this purchase at this price point.

I purchased this beautiful Dutch oven 6 months ago and have used it many times. I love the way it cooks...nothing sticks! Sadly, the paint is chipping off the handle already. A good quality enamel coating should last longer than that. I will not purchase this brand again.

I bought a 6.5 qt Tramontina around 10 years ago, and then during a December sale bought another two-piece set (7 qt that is shorter and larger diameter than the 6.5 qt and a 4 qt) three years ago. I have used these in various ways - on an electric ceramic cook top (making soups and stews), going into the oven (braising various things), on an open flame grill side-burner (brown chicken in a little olive oil and then make a nice curry outside where it won't stink up the house...) and they are all still like new condition. A little simple care and maintenance keeps them looking great and they just perform great on their own. Two things I do: 1) Always put a little oil on the exposed iron areas around the rim and lid after washing. 2) I found some info online about putting some bleach water inside overnight to make the interior enamel look like new again (it darkens with use that basic washing won't take out).

This is a beautiful Dutch Oven. Cooking in it is so easy and the clean up is great also. The only drawback is this is a HEAVY pot. When you put a roast and vegetables in there to cook in the oven, sometimes you might need a little muscle to remove it from the oven. Overall it's a great piece of cooking pottery.

These days, so many times I am disappointed by the misrepresentation of a item purchased. Receiving instead, a cheap knock-off of the pictured item. This is not such an experience, and is spot-on for quality, and an exceptional value as an added perk. I have two, and will be thrilled to have multiples for extended time cooking of two recipes. Make sure to follow directions to season the sealing edges - it is excellent advice.

About a month ago, I purchased this dutch oven in red. This is my first experience trying this brand. Several years ago, I purchased a smaller oval dutch oven from a French manufacturer ($374.) Well, I have used this Tramontina dutch oven several times and it cooks better than my expensive one. It is not only beautiful, but it cooks evenly without sticking plus no staining of the interior and what a savngs. I am a very happy customer.

Was excited to receive this, I will say it was packed very well but that's it... Unpacked to discover a huge chip on the top side near the handle, I searched the box and found no chip which indicates it was shipped this way, Impossible not to notice a HUGE chip on the side of the product. Not even going to wash it or waste my time shipping it back, Going into the trash

I bought 2 of these for Xmas gifts and one for moi. All beige will go with any kitchen. A lovely oyster/bone color. I opened all three. Two had the tiniest of flaws that won't affect function. Roomy 6.5 qt. Metal handle. Beautiful and sleek looking on my stove. For $39.99 these are a steal. Heavy. Will hold the heat. Tight lid. Follow the directions and they should last a very long time. So happy.
