At first the cooling compressor did not come on. But after reading the directions I learned you have to run about four cups of water through first. My dog always has fresh, clean, cool water. Have not used the heating element.

We got this because it has the pet bowl and our kitties absolutely love it and my husband is happy he doesn't have to fill their water from the tap anymore! I also struggle to get my water in daily and this has helped me reach my water goals

From the day we received it never cooled. Ran all the time. Water was room temp. We have since after Less than two weeks purchased another cooler. Love the pet water dispenser.

Works well. Hot is hot and cold is cold. Seems to be well-made and sturdy. It was well-packed and undamaged. I'm pleased that it is also very quiet. The pet bowl is a cool feature but the bowl is gigantic for my little maltese. He seems to be very reluctant to drink from it. Maybe he is afraid of falling in and drowning.

We like this so much that I am planning on purchasing another for my daughter. I saw a comment mentioning not to buy if you have a large dog. Ridiculous! Of course larger dogs drink more and hopefully you will be refilling it more often. Owning a large dog costs more all around. That is just a fact. All dogs deserve to be drinking quality water. My dog weighs 95 pounds. She is the main reason for purchasing this dispenser. So much easier than using a counter top filtration system. This is a great prodoct for all dogs. The hot water feature is also very nice for a quick cup of tea or other beverage.
