- 5 out of 5 stars review7/31/2025I have used these tires for years. Tire wear is slow, if you maintain proper air pressure. Traction is great in the snow, rain, cornering at speed and when riding on lined pavement (the tire design eliminates vehicle wobbling because of the cross design). I have the tires on our BMW, Mercedes and VW.
You can't go wrong with these.
Michaele9Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/13/2021Just put a set of 4, 215/50R17/XL 95V, on last week. Driven less then a 100 mile so far. The volt had the OE on for just under 55,000 and one had a slow leak. Got the CrossClimate®2 and right from the parking lot I noticed the the tires gave the car a tighter grip on the road, bumps seamed to be less noticeable. The tires do not roll as well as the OE and a little more tire noise, like a whine. With no engine noise to cover it up, it was expected. The car handles the hills and curves very well. My wife feel more assured that car is not going off the road and will take the curves. Had to add more air and that made the Volt cost better also did not notice any change in the handling.

Sapphire the VoltOriginally posted onmichelinman.comMichelinSo glad to hear of your great experience with CrossClimate2 tires, Sapphire the Volt. - 5 out of 5 stars review4/12/2024Have had the CrossClimate2 tires on my Toyota Venza for 6 months now. They have performed very well in dry, wet and hydroplaning conditions. They have also been excellent in both deep snow and heavy slush conditions. I do find that they kick up more road spray and are slightly noisier in the wheel well than my previous Michelins, which indicates to me that they are clearing more water/slush out of their footprint on the road. Fuel efficiency seems to be the same as my previous Michelins.
Better traction and the same smooth ride!
TorontoSlusherOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/14/2022I bought this tire because I did no want to keep switching to snow tires. This past winter, I found them to be just as good as regular snow tires. I do have an AWD vehicle so that helps as well. On wet roads, I found them to be better than the previous all season tires I had.
Great tires for year round use
Driver101Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review7/9/2024Great tire at first, but as more miles are placed on them they get very noisy. I have them on 2 vehicles currently and each has about 20,000 miles on the tires. The tread is still in great shape. They have been rotated and balanced. The noise is to the point where I am thinking about replacing the tires with a lot of life left on them otherwise.
Great performing tire with FAR too much noise
CFOriginally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer Care MIC USCF, sorry you are experiencing this. Increasing noise could be from an irregular wear pattern developing on the tires. We have driven in snow, ice, heavy rain, high outside temperatures and the Cross Climate 2s performed exceptionally well. They are expensive but well worth the cost as they provide exceptional service in all weather conditions, exceptional durability and peace of mind driving. They replaced Latitude Tours which also gave exceptional service. We are quite pleased with our tire purchases.
High returns for high cost.

It isn't possible to buy tires that are the best for all conditions, but these tires are highly rated for their performance in both wet and dry roads. This added to the excellent value offered at a reasonable price sealed the deal for me. I was afraid that the aggressive tread pattern would result in objectionable road noise, but they are reasonably quiet in dry conditions.
Independently rated #2 tire for all seasons
FredOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review4/4/2022I purchased these Cross Climate 2's for my wife's 2013 Ford Edge in 2021. We have always been Michelin fans but these are noisy. Yesterday she replaced her Michelin snow tires with these and I went with her on a long drive to the eye doctor and I could not believe how noisy these were. She had told me last year they were noisy but I didn't pay attention but I sure am now. I read reviews where clients said they were quiet, so I was very surprised today and yes, I apologized for not listening to her. She wants rid of them so we will be looking at another quieter set (They will be Michelin).
Very noisy
CanonGuyOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/30/2023Just got these this week for my 2019 Lexus ES and WOW, what a difference. These tire track like I'm on rails. Steering feedback is greatly improved and the drive is much improved. With the full depth tread, I'm expecting no change in ride quality as they wear. Very glad I chose these.
CrossClimate 2 was a fantastic choice
ZZR1200Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review10/23/2021Drove 17,000 miles cross country on these tires. They are good for paved roads, but the moment you hit any sort of gravel drivway, dirt road to campground or sandy path they REALLY suck. My car is not an offroad vehicle but on occasion we would have to take a gravel road or drive to an established campsite on dirt or sand these tires have horrible traction. The whole car shifts side to side when breaking. I have not used these in the snow but I don't plan to as they cannot even handle a little sand in the street.
Great onroad - horrible offroad.

I love these tires they do such a great job in rain and snow. I got 81,381 miles on the first set! I think I could have gotten more mileage on the tires, but ran one a nail and went into the sidewall and could not be repaired. I’m very pleased and impressed with these Michelin Cross Climate2 tires! I would recommend them to anyone!
Great tires
DentskweezerOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review5/5/2025I have just purchased these tires so I do not know about their tractiion or duribility or performance yet. I do know that they are comfortable under the floor boards. A very smooth ride. I hope they will get me through a mountain winter in Colorado.
Cross Climate 2
MareOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/3/2021Like some of you I read in Consumer Reports that the CrossClimate2 is a top-rated all-season tire, and I also watched videos like the one from Engineering Explained on youtube. I also read reviews here. Even after all that, I wondered what these tires would really be like. My previous tire was a Goodyear Eagle LS-2 that was the OEM tire for my 2018 Acura TLX. The Goodyears had 46k miles on them, but they still had plenty of tread left and were only three years old, but I wanted to replaced them because I wasn't happy with their performance in any season—dry, wet, or in snow. And so I was looking for a major performance and safety upgrade to justify the expense of early tire replacement. I'll give details below, but long story short the Mich...
CrossClimate2 outstanding so far
BenOriginally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer CareThanks for sharing, Ben! Michelin customers ROCK! - 5 out of 5 stars review8/2/2025The CrossClimate® 2 tires have completely changed my attitude toward tires being a necessity on a car to being the primary vehicle element! These tires have made me realize that vehicle responsiveness is controlled by the quality of tires! Best tire purchase ever!
Best tire purchase ever
Kai2021Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/30/2024I purchased these tires for my AMG GLC43 because I couldn't handle how rough the ride was with the Run flat OEM. First time in 20 years not having a dedicated winter tire. Never missed them ride comfort, noise, durability traction these tires do it all.
Excellent tires
CalgaryOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/11/2024I bought these more and an all season as I have dedicated winters. I did use them a bit on snow and was impressed with them. Overall, they’re quiet, ride nice and the tread wear seems great so far. If they’re still around when I need a new set, I’ll definitely buy again.
Great all around tire
AdamOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/13/2021The title says it all. I run these tires daily and for my rallycross tire setup. They are not tearing up on dirt/gravel at all. I am able to run these for multiple sessions. Being a service advisor and seeing all of the different types of tires quite often.. Michelin has earned me being Michelin Biased when recommending tires.
I am blown away..
Andrewe46Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/9/2023Placed these on 2019 equinox and love them. Great stopping traction and great handling. Noise level is low when comparing it to an all terrain tire but low compared to a highway tire. Don’t really care about mpg so don’t notice but still close to same mileage per tank during fuel ups. Have put 15k miles on them and can’t even notice a change. Great traction on road dry or wet pavement and good off road use for gravel dirt and grass. Not a mud tire so never tried.
Great for traction
HeavyMechanicOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review11/17/2020I have a 2019 Mazda CX-9 Signature and want to put these on it but the largest tire listed is 245/50R20. The stock OEM Falkens on the car are 255/50R20. When will Michelin have these CrossClimate2 tires in my size? I really prefer Michelins and only want to go to All Weather Tires for this car.
Great for Everyone but Me!
