- 5 out of 5 stars review1/6/2022I go through a set a tires once every 12-16 months and these are by far the best for winter driving. I have had every high end tire from basically the top three or four manufacturers and these win hands down. I live in West Michigan and we get dumped on with wet, heavy lake effect snow, rain and ice. We just had about ten inches over night and I spent the morning on plowed and unplowed roads, heavily salted slushy roads, steep hills and icy bridges. Ice is a moot point for any tire but these handled exceptionally well through any of the adverse conditions the weather and road conditions had to offer from start to stop period. I cannot understand how someone would give these a bad review for winter driving saying they are spinning in slush ...
One of the best tires through snow and rain period.

I am looking forward to not changing tires in the winter as I live in Quebec and they are approved for use in the snow. I also spend 6 months in Florida and the tires can handle the heat as well. Well worth the price!

The ride and handling in all conditions are far superior to the Goodyear Adventure with Kevlar they replaced. My wife has the Cross Climate 2's on her 16 Ford Escape and has had them in winter conditions , and feels safe and confident now. The tires are not cheap, but we feel they are well worth the money for the peace of mind they provide.
Best tires I have ever owned in 50 years.

The stock tires would just spin if I hit the gas remotely hard but these grip in snow, ice and drive fine on normal roads as well. I didn’t notice too much noise at all on the highway like others have complained and around corners it grips well also. I only added them to the front and have the stock Michelin’s on the back.
Increased my cars performance for all conditions.

Going through puddles and heavy water areas has less hydroplaning if any at all and the car doesn't slow down as much. The handling through turns in both wet and dry situations is awesome and I feel very secure in the handling of my vehicle as I always have if not more now. My only complaint is that they don't offer these in a 255/50-20 which is the size I need for my Ford Explorer XLT. I'm forced to buy a different tire. Hopefully they'll have a better range of sizes when i'm ready to replace those.

They are extremely quiet and provide a soft and comfortable ride. We were in the mountains when a deer ran out in front of us and because of the way the tires responded we were able to avoid hitting the deer. It felt like we were in a sports car instead of an SUV. On wet roads, it feels like we are driving on dry pavement. I would definitely recommend this tire.
Excellent tires. Smooth, quiet, very responsive.

I had Nokian WRG4 before these and the Michelins run circles around the Nokians. They are excellent dry and wet weather tires too. I don't think they can be beat. I don't have a lot of miles yet so I can't testify to their durability.
Best snow traction my car has ever had.

I don't understand the noise criticism being good and bad...can't be both but my limited experience is they are not overly noisy. Traction is not criticized by anyone so I'm expecting that to continue this winter in Illinois. So far so good!

Turns out it barely snowed in my area last winter so I can't really rate the tires snow performance. I can say I've been highly impressed with the tire's wet and dry performance. Very stable in all conditions and I have noted a slight improvement in gas economy. There is a slight hum from the tires, but I only noticed it when I first purchased the tires and was curious about it. Since then I never notice road noise. Highly satisfied with my purchase and will definitely purchase again unless a CrossClimate 3 comes out first.

I have used many Michelin tires in the past on many of my family vehicles but this is my first car with the new CrossClimate2 tires. I have recommended Michelin tires to other family members and plan to purchase Michelin tires for other cars when needed in 2022.

The only negative I have is they are noisy on the road especially on the rural roads where I live. But overall they handle every type of climate and would definitely purchase them again in the future.

Online information described them as all season Touring tires with good comfort and good handling. I voiced my concern that they might have a rough ride, but two sales people agreed with the online description and assured me that the ride was smooth. I can't speak to the handling, but the ride is definitely stiff and harsher than I would expect from a Touring tire. In my area, roads have lots of cracks. The tires I replaced were 10 years old and original to the Accord. I feel the cracks and other road imperfections much more than I did with my old tires. The quality of the ride is better suited to an SUV or Crossover than a nice sedan.

Having said that, I have put on about 20,000 miles on my CrossClimate 2’s that I made my mechanic go and find and I would buy these again in a heartbeat. Even as they age, the traction and confidence in wet are remarkable almost as if there is no rain or snow below you. Stopping distance is terrific with these tires and they ride like a dream! The only cons that I’ve found are a 3-5% reduction in mpg (I have an HEV) and one tire continuously looses about 5psi 2-6 weeks.

The traction seems much better and I haven’t noticed a significant interior noise increase from them in comparison. At first, based on some reviews, I had some concerns. Also, no matter the tread left on older tires, I consider the age of a tire to be very important to me. Nearing six years, I will replace older tires. The comfort of these tires is perfectly fine. And, living in Minnesota, the versatility is important to me. A disabled veteran.

Due to our weather differance from one city to the next I feel this is the perfect tire as it works very well in wet rainy conditions as well as snow. So leaving the rain slick roads of Chilliwack heading east over the snow cover highway to Penticton I could not ask for a better tire. Now because I live in the rainy section mostly the stopping power and distance is unreal. Thanks for such a great tire and keep moving forward.WillyOriginally posted onmichelinman.com
- 5 out of 5 stars review1/25/2022I'm so happy I bought these tires! I didn't need new tires, but I wanted better snow tires as I had several winter trips planned. The improvement on both dry and wet pavement was remarkable. On dry pavement the car seems to perform twice as well, especially around corners. In rain and snow, braking is better and the car feels more in control. Fuel mileage is about the same, if not better.

In 1972, I purchased a Volvo 142 in Canada. It came with Goodyear tires which were GARBAGE after 21,000 MILES (not Kms). The replacement Michelins lasted for 63,000 MILES (not Kms) as did their replacement Michelins. In 1975, I bought a new 1957 Ford F150. It came with Firestone original equipment tires. MORE GARBAGE after 19,000 MILES!! In 61 years, I've never had a bad experience with Michelin tires and I'm a ripe 87-year-old fart!!Originally posted onmichelinman.com

At first I wasn’t happy with the design because they are directional tires which means they can only be rotated front to back and back to front. The original tires only lasted less than 32,000 miles. I admit I could go further but I don’t take chances on the last 3/32” of tread left. I highly suggest these tires.
