This is my second Tempurpedic mattress - the first one I had was a Queen size Tempur cloud, medium firmness, and I replaced it with this mattress after 10 years, because I wanted a King size bed. Upon first use - the Pro-Adapt seemed softer than my Cloud was, so i was skeptical and debating if a "firm" mattress would have been a better call. However, I had been starting to get sciatica on one side, and now that I've been sleeping on this mattress for about 5 weeks the sciatica is basically gone and I haven't made any other changes to my lifestyle. I can't tell if the hybrid mattress is more firm on the sides or not, I got the hybrid after reading reviews that say Hybrid mattresses last longer than mattresses that are all memory foam. Since these mattresses come with a hefty price tag I wanted to try and get as many years out of it as I can. Also important to note, the mattress itself is really heavy, which makes tucking sheets in under the sides a little challenging, and if you live alone (like I do), I wouldn't expect to be moving it around by yourself, like if you were changing bed frames or furniture. All that said, I really like this mattress - the white glove delivery service was great, the new style of zip off mattress cover is much easier to taken off/put on than the old style, and this mattress doesn't keep me as hot as my cloud did, presumably from the cooling cover.

The ProAdapt Medium hybrid is the perfect blend of contouring memory foam and support. The hybrid prevents the feeling of sinking too far into the bed, especially when doing things like sitting in the bed and watching TV. Hands down the best mattress I have ever slept on.

Pro: one it's broken in completely, it'll be super comfy. Getting there! And definitely an improvement over our last mattress. Con: taking way too long to break in, leaving us with sore backs some days! Company needs to start breaking in mattresses (every mattress company) prematurely prior to customer purchases/delivery!

My husband and I purchased the pro-adapt mattress. My husband works on cars and I'm in the dental field so we strain our bodies everyday. We get regular massages but our back always seemed to ache. This mattress is a great investment for our bodies. We are no longer waking up with back pain! Love this bed!

I've had the Pro Adapt Firm model for a few weeks and at this point the mattress has exceeded my expectations. The first couple nights took some getting used to because of the firmness and the memory foam feel. Each night the bed becomes more comfortable and supportive. It's been such a long time since I actually didn't want to leave my bed in the morning and I look forward to going to sleep every night. Def not cheap but I look at it as a solid investment in my health and quality of life. Worth every penny.

This is definitely one of the best mattresses money can buy!!! My wife and I are 100% super-super satisfied with the purchase of our Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Firm California Split King mattresses. One word to sum up how we feel each and everyday we wake up "Refreshed" Oh did I already mention the part how each and every morning my wife and I hate to get up from laying in our Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Firm mattress? (lol). Yes, these mattresses are that darn comfortable! You won't want to get up from laying on it! Highly recommend going to a sleep center and checking it out for yourslef and with Tempurpedic's 90 day sleep trial how can you go wrong?! I promise-promise you won't be upset if you check this mattress out, but I know without a doubt that if you don't you will definitely be missiing out on the best (dab-nab-it) sleep you ever experienced in your entire life! We have owned 3 TEMPUR- PEDIC mattresses, our first one purchased in 2004. It was the best mattress we ever owned. I would like to see the old ones brought back. Next one was too soft, so we bought this one. For me, it's too hard and too high. We are getting older and it's hard to get in bed with the height. We own an adjustable base, would like to see a base that allows me to control how high the bed is.

I just bought my third Tempur-Pedic mattress. My 2003 mattress is still a running strong. My 2009 mattress is still running strong. I am giving that one away. The one that I bought this time is the Pro Adapt Firm, for the pressure relieving properties. I have never woke up with pains or aches. The mattresses just get better and better every night. If you are looking for a world class mattress, you found it. Pass the rest and buy a Tempur-Pedic. Those that think that they need a firm, think again. The Tempur-Pedics should be purchased according to feel. Just buy one, knowing that they are life changing mattresses. Also forget that they are a flat mattress. What matters most is how you wake up feeling. I write very reviews. I am writing this one for those that want a mattress that will out perform an of the other mattresses on the market. When I sleep, I want no pressure on my body. All of the Tempur-Pedics have pressure reliving properties. Sincerely, One that knows and understands that they are really World Class

Felt great initially but then I started having back pain and waking up with soreness and hip pain. I am a side sleeper. It sinks in well but don't know why I feel like it's a tad too firm. Am trying to switch to a softer one now. Overall it's a great quality bed.

My husband and I had a popular brand 5 year old "hybrid" mattress. I began to wake up every morning with sore achy hips and back. I decided that the mattress was too firm for me. We went mattress shopping at a local furniture store. I had no intention of even looking at ANY foam mattresses. I had always heard that they were over-rated and slept "hot." The sales lady strongly suggested that I lay on a Tempur-pedic just to try it. I told her i wasn't interested, and proceeded to try out other brands, but didn't find one that I just loved, or that was soft enough for me. I finally tried out the Tempur-pedic Pro Adapt Soft and was shocked at how much i liked it! It didn't take long to decide to purchase it. Fast forward 2 months...this is by far the most comfortable mattress we have ever had!! No more aches and pains in the morning, and no it does not sleep "hot." We are 100% happy with our purchase!!
