I bought 2 of these. Both had deformed side panels that I had to reform with a blow dryer, both were missing parts. You can only deal with Keter customer service via email for parts. If I was not 2 hours away I would return these to Sams Club. It ticks me off to wait for parts for a new item and these boxes aren't cheap. I saw reviews from others that have purchased these and parts were missing, I should have listened. I hope Keter ships these parts out quick or Sam's Club will be my part supplier. Very disappointed. Don't be like me, find another product.

I recommend the following: 1 - Use a power drill screwdriver with a No.2 Philips bit to assemble it. Set it for a torque (autostop) of "1" or "2" and drive a screw in until the drill reaches full torque and "tap-tap-taps." Then check the tightness with a hand-held Phillips screwdriver. If it is good and tight, keep that setting. If too loose, increase the torque to "3." You will be screwing in a lot of 1" black screws, and you want them all equally tight and fully seated. 2 - When the plastic sides and bottom are assembled, there will still be a small gap where the edges come together, maybe just enough to slip a piece of paper into. It's enough that maybe spiders, ants, etc. could make an entry. Also, it would allow driving rain, or a lawn sprinkler, to put water into the box and that could lead to mildew or mold. So I bought a tube of silicone sealant and ran a bead all around the edges on the inside, sealing the box watertight (I think it would float now). 3 - While the top has a decent overlap over the sides, I wanted a more weather/watertight/insect proof seal between the bottom box and the top lid. So I bought a roll of 1/2 inch wide, 1/8 inch thick self-adhesive backed foam insulation and applied it all around the top of the box. Now the lid closes and seals with no gap whatsoever. 4 - The floor of the box is not strong enough for firewood or other heavy items, unless you support the bottom -- under the center -- with shims. It's great for seat cushions, pool floaties, beach balls, etc. 5 - The lid likes to be lifted straight up, from the center, and lowered straight down. The hydraulic lift tubes that help lift the lid and hold it when it is up are located at the rear left and right edges of the box, and don't want to be twisted. 6 - Last comment: Position it where it will not be sitting in standing water.

Big design flaw is that there is a gap between the box and the rim that is plenty big for mice to get in. Opened my deck box today and there was a large hole in one of the cushions. I lifted up the cushion and 2 baby mice came out of the hole in my cushion!!! Not happy. My husband said he could probably rig up something to block the holes on the front and sides but cannot cover the gap on the back side where the lid meets the box as the hinges won't work then. I'm stuck with a large mouse trap. All this is after the first box arrived with broken pieces and had to be taken back to the store 40 minutes away. Grrrrr.

One Wind, Broke Off. Poor Design. Weak Joints. Customer Care said "Act of God" not covered under warranty. Do not buy this product. One wind, the closed lid opened itself and the lid's weak plastic screw hinge broke off and lid blew away and fell few feet away in the yard. Poor design. Now the broken lid, broken hinge, broken hinge screw hole. Total useless product.

Just purchased this item and all the small parts were missing. I followed the instructions to contact the customer service instead of returning this to the store and that was a big mistake. If your box is missing parts, I would suggest to return it to the store and don't bother contacting the customer service, because you might be dealing with a rude and lazy customer service representative. No, not all of them from Keter are like that, the first one I talked to was helpful, but unfortunately for me, they still didn't send me the correct parts and I had to contact them again twice after that because they kept sending me wrong parts and for some reasons I kept getting the same rude person on the last two calls. I'm glad I still keep the box, if the third missing parts order is still not correct, I am going to return this item.

Purchased yesterday. Assembled today. Tripped on piece that broke and has a hole in the lid. Called Keter. They said they don't sell replacement lids. If it was a warranty claim disassemble it and take it back. So much for being honest. Guess I'll live with broken MY LAST Keter product

I purchased the Keter 250 gal deck box and it was super easy to put together and the directions were excellent. The reason I gave my review 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a few broken pieces, namely 1 corner was severely cracked and the back panel was split. I still put it together and will fix the broken pieces with waterproof glue. Looking back I should have purchased it in-store and picked out a box that had no dents or rips. Oh well, sometimes pickup works and sometimes it doesn't.

Puchased at Sams Club 15 months ago - Left side bracket broke today. No misuse, seems to be a poorly welded part. Keter states there is a 2 year warranty on parts, will see if they replace this. Will update rating/recommendation after. 1ST 2 photos are of broken LEFT side where there was either a poor weld or a defective part. Last photo is of still intact RIGHT side.

I got this box and its huge, I missed where it said to not put to much weight n it. I put to much, and the sides bowed out. . very light weight box . My bad I didnt think of it not holding weight.. nice extra large box if used correctly.. ery simple to assemble. 3 stars because no clarity on how much weight it holds. Its going in the trash

Watch out. If you have a missing part you wind up dealing with Keters customer service folks. I threw out the packaging which meant I could not return it to Sam's Club. Keter's "process" as they are fond of calling it winds u being a heavy lift./ Who know how long I will wait for the part- if I ever get it. My advice is to fully assemble it before disposing of any packaging and if there is an issue return it to the store. That said, this 230 gallon monster would require me to rent a truck to return it- point is- do NOT ecpect Keter to treat you well if something is missing or broken.
