We love the look of our 10x14 pergola and have had several compliments. It's a wonderful addition to the backyard/pool. Our yard is quite small so we were worried that the pergola would make it look smaller but not the case. I would have given 4.5-5 stars but the directions could have been better written. The biggest issue was that several top pieces and a cpl joists were warped. We did the best to straighten them out as we assembled and now that complete, we are probably the only ones to know. In all fairness, I am writing this prior to contacting the company. I will be notifying them and update my review with response. That being said, I have and will continue to recommend to others.

I've had the pergola built for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. Its sturdy and heavy but also easy-ish to put together. Realistically you should have at least two people building one pergola. I would budget about 5 hours with two people to put it together completely. Overall great pergola, very happy with the purchase!

This pergola, along with the shipping time & process of ordering has not disappointed. It is an awesome addition to our backyard patio. Quality materials and detailed instructions. We are actually looking to purchase a second one to go over a hot tub.

Altogether a good product. We put it up Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with some help from my brother who was visiting. There were some boards that were a bit warped but it wasn't enough to keep it from going together. We did need to re-drill a few holes that didn't line up properly, but we had tools so it wasn't a problem. AND they included extra hardware of every kind, which we didn't actually need with this kit but have with others (which can be a real nuisance). The least satisfactory issue was the freight company, Estes Freight. It sat in the Phoenix warehouse for a week before they got it out to us, and no-one there would answer the phone or return our calls.

After doing lots of research I decided to go with the 14x13 Beaumont pergola from BackYard Discovery. Boy amI happy I did! Delivery was pretty quick, kept me informed at each step, and the three cartons arrived in pristine condition. It was real easy to then transfer the pieces from the front of my house to the back patio and sort them into their clearly marked designation. Assembly instructions were very clear. It took my wife and myself about 5 hours in total to assemble the whole thing! No real heavy lifting except at the point the ends get “stood up” but even that was well within our capability to manage. End result is beautiful and the envy of the neighborhood! Added some lights and furniture and voila we have our backyard oasis complete!

I have been wanting a pergola for my backyard for years. Ordered the 20x12 Beaumont pergola and I’m so glad I did! I weatherproofed all the parts first. It took 3 of us one 8 hr day to pour footings and one 8 hr day to put the kit together. Directions were easy to follow. The photos say it all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put this up in July before my husband’s retirement party. Makes my backyard look like a beautiful garden! Took two days for us to put it up. Really just a large Lego set - hardest part was digging footings in the clay.

I bought this a little over a month ago and built it myself, putting in a few hours each day over the course of a week. It was so easy to do myself and I only needed help from my husband and freind with the final raising and connection of the 4 sides. I truly appreciated how easy the instructions were to follow and the instruction app made it even easier. I have built a lot of things using assembly instructions and these were by far the best instructions I've experienced. The quality of the materials was impressive as well. The boards were straight and finished, and the cuts were clean. The grooves and the drill holes all lined up. The final pergola is beautiful. I get tons of compliments from friends now. I highly recommend this pergola for both it's beauty and how easy it was to build.

I bought this pergola last year and requested installation service as well. I am fully satisfied with the way this transaction took place. Pergola itself is pretty great and my friends loved it. I refer them backyard discovery and would like to do business again with them.

I bought this a year ago, May of 2020. All pieces were included and well marked. Based on other reviews we put a clear oil based seal on before putting the pergola together - based on 1 year in use we will likely add another coat this summer. It still looks good but to continue to preserve the wood we will add another coat. This definitely requires 2 people to put it together and sometimes it would have been helpful to have 3 people. I would purchase it again - it's been a nice addition to the patio and provides some shade.
