- 2 out of 5 stars review3/1/2025I purchased the tires Dec 27 2024 and when they finally arrived had them balanced and installed on January 31st 2025. Very bumpy ride quality after my OEM Goodyears with 88,000 km on them that still gave a very smooth ride. The shop tried to rebalance on Feb 24th and the ride quality is worse now and there's definetly something wrong. I think I'll like them once this is sorted out but lots of hassle and time wasted so far. I read such good reviews I was really expecting better. Also it was interesting these tires were made in Brazil. At this point I'll give the tires 2 stars not knowing if its a bad tire(s) or a bad install and balance. So with that said I want to like them but not yet.
I hope they'll be good eventually...

In January 2024, I replaced tires on my GMC Sierra 1500 with the Michelin Defender tires. I could tell a difference right away. My truck rides smoother, is much quieter, and handles so much better. An added bonus is my improved gas mileage. I will never buy another brand of tires again!

They are seriously great quality and I plan on them lasting a while for me. Thick, not dense & they look really good also! My husband is now purchasing these for his own truck he likes them so much! My SUV is in the shop currently with some recall getting that taken care of, so don’t have a picture of them on my car..BUT I highly recommend

I have only owned the tires for 4 hours but I have already put the tires on several tests, including cornering and stopping. I am very satisfied with these tires, as I have been with other Michelin tires purchased over the past 20 or so years.

The wear seems to be as expected, they are great on wet highways and relatively quiet although as all Michelins do, they seem to be getting noisier as they wear. What I don't like is they are as hard as rocks and with every pothole or manhole it feels like the front of the truck is getting torn off. I had the Primacy's prior to these and for us, they were a much better tire. I don't do a lot of heavy hauling and would prefer the softer ride. I think I'll be going back to the Primacy in the future.

Mind you, I monitor air pressure and rotate regularly and even though most of the miles were highway, the definitely needed replacing. I was a bit skeptical because of the more aggressive tread on the Michelin tires, but I’ve had Michelins on my other vehicles, and so I went ahead and rolled the dice. Man am I happy I did! These tires are not only quiet, but they have a certain confident feel on the road and a responsiveness that I never had out of my Bridgestone tires. Shortly after taking the vehicle out of the shop I hit the highway and the feel can only be described as riding on glass. I haven’t had an opportunity to feel them in the rain, but ...

My daughter reports they are quiet and smooth as promised. The unexpected bonus was the white lettering. It's a small detail that I love and was a little worried I'd have t give up. We had a nail puncture but is fixed now. I hope they last a while.

When the original Tires needed replaced, I switched to the defender LTX M/S 275/55/20 tires. After switching to the Michelin, tires, I have never used a different brand or style since replacing the original tires.I have over 350,000 miles on this vehicle. I find the ride, handling, performance and comfort to be unmatched!. I have switched all of my vehicles to the Michelin brand tires. They handled the Florida weather with ease. And I find a perform just as well when I travel north. I also purchased a lifetime alignment program and have the tires rotated every 5000 miles. Combining proper maintenance with superior quality makes the 80,000 mile life expectancy of the tires A conservative estimate.

They replaced a set of off road tires that were loud and made for a harsher than normal ride. I've always been a fan of Michelin tires on my trucks but I think these are the best tires I've ever bought. The change is ride quality and noise is nothing less than remarkable. The ride on my truck is much smoother and now it sounds like the interior of a luxury sedan rather than a truck. The truck pulled very slightly to the right with the old tires but the Michelins solved that problem. They look good, they ride good and they're very quiet on the highway (where my truck is used nearly exclusively). I was reluctant to spend so much for tire...

Now that they're discontinued, went with the M/S2. Two had to be replaced for high road force. They do NOT ride as smooth as the originals. Bounce and shudder. Very disappointed.

I put the Defender LTX on my 2023 Tundra, replacing Nitto Ridge Grapplers that were ridiculous on the highway over any distance, and the Defender LTX exhibit higher than expected levels of noise and poor performance on wet roads. Price wasn't really a consideration if I got great tires, but these have been a disappointment.

I bought these for extra load rating for towing a 5th wheel trailer. ALWAYS PLEASED WITH THE RIDE AND COMFORT OF THE TIRES. THIS IS MY FIRST SET OF DEFENDER LTX M/S 2'S. TIRES CAN'T BE BALANCED AND LOPE WHEN DRIVING. DEALER HAS SAID THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO. IF I CAN'T GET ANY RESOLUTION FROM MICHELIN I WILL TAKE THEM OFF AFTER ONLY 5000 MILES OF USE AND SWITCH TO COOPER. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THESE NEW 2 SERIES TIRES. I have only had them for a few months, but have taken a few multi-state trips and the tires handled great on the Interstates.
