We replaced a standard-depth French door unit with this side-by-side model, and the layout changes have been a massive upgrade for our busy household. The biggest win for our kitchen layout is the recessed pocket handles. By eliminating bulky, protruding handles, this fridge sits incredibly flush and instantly saved us nearly 2 inches of physical walking space in a high-traffic bottleneck entrance near our pantry. What we love so far: Whisper Quiet: Compared to the groaning of our old unit, the inverter compressor on this Samsung is incredibly quiet. Real-Time Temperature Feedback: Unlike other brands that only show the temperature you want it to be, this Samsung actually displays the real-time operating temperature. When first plugged in, it accurately showed it pulling down from room temperature, giving us total transparency. No more guessing why the ice cream is soft! Smart Storage & Better Hygiene: The vertical side-by-side freezer design completely eliminates the "bottom drawer pit" where frozen food goes to die and get buried. More importantly, the external, sealed water and ice dispenser is a total game-changer for a family with young kids. No more little hands digging into an open ice bucket, and no more humid air gaps or Florida bugs getting trapped inside. It fills up our large Stanley cups hygienically and effortlessly. If you have a large family, host often, and want clean lines without sacrificing valuable kitchen walkway space, this unit is an incredible value. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this refrigerator. It replaced a a French door Samsung that did great for 16 years. It was cold within 3 to four hours. I used 2 freezer packs in the refrigerator side to help it cool down faster, znd 2 freezer pace in the freezer side. In 4 hours thr refrigerator side was down to 34 degrees, and freezer was down to -3 degrees FARENHEIT. It looks great in the black and matches our stove.

Five hours later, it went from at least 80 degrees in each side to operational temperature. The Hisense we got (and subsequently returned) only got to 66 in the freezer after several hours and even 48 hours later. Not my first Samsung refrigerator, not my last, although I do hope it lasts forever.

Love all the transparent parts inside fridge and even in freezer. Will make things easier to find. Having crushed ice will be a great added feature. Like that there are no handles. Very modern and streamlined. Refrigerator side is roomy and filter easy to reach and change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Samsung side-by-side to replace an 11-year-old fridge that failed with icing issues on the refrigerator side. It works and has more rated capacity (27 cu ft) vs the 24 cu feet of our original machine. But it's a lower trim level than our older fridge. It has fewer drawers (no deli drawer) and didn't gain any shelves, so the effective storage is no better. It also doesn't have a butter shelf on the door - just a standard shelf without a swinging door. Meanwhile, the energy efficiency is rated worse than the original unit, probably due to less insulation.

Been having it for the last week and I super love it it's quiet I like the led that it's super bright and also has wifi so I can set temps inside through my phone it cools super cold - 5 is the lowest super nice! I have the gray or silver it is looks sleek and cool
