uneven

I have bought this product before and we were very satisfied; however, the most recent purchase the taste was extremely salty and mushy. I had to trash the remaining portion of uncooked fish. I have always prepared the fish the same method; baked. I am thinking that too much preservative was added to the product.

Not Bad

I needed individual portioned frozen fish. These, while thin slices are still easy for fast cooking or pan frying. I'd much rather have the option to open more packets but have the slices cook faster and thoroughly. I could understand why some reviews gave one star. But for the price it's decent! For me they're convenient and boneless, mild in flavor, and priced right. I used lemon juice, Kraft grated Parmesan and some garlic powder. Win for $13.

Bad smell, crumbly when cookig

Not sure what is going on with Sams flounder, but last few months the fish have such a strong fishy odor (spoiled fish) when you open the plastic wrap and while frying in the pan it gets so crumbly. You can't flip it without breaking in pieces. I bought it 4 month apart and having the same issue. I will be returning today leftover frozen fish. So disappointed since we really enjoyed flounder from Sam's.

Really?

I buy this all the time, and its a good product, the only problem is, I don't believe it's flounder, I think it's Perch, Flounder isn't shaped like that, flounder is a flat and round shaped fish. I'll keep buying it because it's good, but I will never believe it's flounder.

Perfect for my family!

We're a family of 4 with two young boys. My kids LOVE this fish. I'm not a huge fan of fish in general (I know - Florida's fresh fish is wasted in me), but I almost always finish off my portion, too. I was surprised to read reviews about it being both "tasteless" and "too fishy". We toss a little Old Bay on ours, put some butter in with it and either broil it or pan fry it quickly, so we have dinner ready from freezer to plate in the same amount of time it takes to make some rice. Sometimes we go crazy and put a couple of thin slices of lemon on top while it is cooking. The portions are very thin, but I see that as a good thing - we don't waste food because we're eating all of it, and I don't have to worry about the middle being raw when the edges are cooked. We have this fish for dinner at least once a week and even my super picky three year old is excited about it, no matter how often I put this on the table. I'd absolutely recommend it! (Regarding reviewers concerned about Chinese processing of Alaskan fish: China is closer to Alaska than Florida is! I don't love that part, but it certainly makes sense that some of the mega processing ships would come from there.)
