Only lasted 18 mths before lid stop opening

It was really good when it works in the first 18 mths. Using 13 gallon trash bag and pretty decent size for kitchen. Unfortunately after 18 mths mine will not open anymore. Sensor works and indicate green light (to open lid) but the motor seems to be dead or has no power to open the lid. Replaced batteries and still same issue. I have to open it manually and it will closed properly after that. So issie just with opening. I wish i can return to Sams. Better looking at other brand that has 5 yrs warranty, built better all stainless steel icluding the lid ... though more expensive but cost pretty much the same or less in 5 yrs.

Not as good as the 1st one.

Started out working well, now we have to hit the button every time to open. This is the second one we purchased. The 1st one we bought years ago and always worked well but not this one. What a shame that quality is so lacking these days!
