You *NEED* TO REGISTER IT TO YOUR CARS COMPUTER!

If you're driving a modern German car (BMW/Mercedes), which is likely since you're buying this H8 AGM battery, the car computer needs to know that you've changed the battery. Its called registration. You do it DIY through an app called Bimmerlink (for BMW). Search youtube for tutorials. If you don't register the battery to the car, your battery will die in 5 months. This battery is a great fit for 2019 BMW 440I and it should also fit similar year/model bmws.

This battery more than exceeded my expectations.

I see some having a bad experience with this one, we got lucky I guess. We purchased this in December 2016 and it finally has given out on us here in June 2023. I'm shopping for another one now, the price has definitely gone up and maybe the quality has gone down since 2016? Hmmm. At any rate, I just wanted to share that the one we had was solid, never an issue in 6.5 years. Impressive.

Excellent battery and service

I have been meaning to replace the six year old battery in my 2014 BMW and have not had the time to schedule with the dealer. I went to a famous battery and bulb replacement place but even though I was the only one there, service was below par. I asked for the battery replacement and to register it with their OBD computer. They said it would be an extra charge, then said their computer was dead (needed recharge) which was ironic for a battery store. I looked up the battery online and it was available at Sams for $60 less. I drove to Sams and had it installed in about 30 minutes. The service at Sams was amazing and they bent over backwards to help a lot of people who came in with tire and battery issues.

BMW replacement battery

Good price on battery but had to take to BMW service to have the battery registered in car. Staff reluctant to place battery since battery location under the floor in hatch back.

Doesn't last long

The best thing about this battery is that it has a 3-year replacement warranty and replacing it through Sam's Club is easy. I've gone through 2 of these batteries on my Mercedes in less than 4 years. The first battery lasted less than 2 years. It was replaced for free after Sam's Club ran a battery test on it and confirmed that it failed. It looks like the second battery is failing at only 1.5 years. The original battery that came with my car lasted over 8 years, so I don't know why these are failing so quickly. I do a lot of highway driving too and I occasionally use a battery tender to charge the battery full. To be fair, this Duracell battery never died or prevented me from starting my car. I only found out it needed to be replaced when I took my car in for service and the shop ran a test. I also tested the battery myself using a multimeter and it was reading low. As long as it's covered under warranty I will continue to replace it for free through Sam's Club. It's inconvenient that it doesn't last longer, but it's better than paying $200 each time for a new one.

Not reliable

Died after two years. Doesn’t deserve Duracell name. Replaced it with original Honda battery that it replaced (after trickle charging for few hours, 10 years old and had sat in garage for 2 years)and car is back to life. This was reading at2.5v and won’t charge even with force.

Overall, it's not a good battery.

So far I used 2 of this size and brand of batteries. No one lasted long. Once the battery drains too low, then it will be dead and not rechargable. You have to replace it. Because it's expensive so I thought it might be a good product. It turned out I was wrong.
