We had the same brand can for several years, we have always liked the automatic top. That can stopped working so we looked and found this new can, same brand. Works great, maybe a little shorter and bigger around but the opening is a bit larger also. It’s good when you cannot hide your can in your kitchen. Trash is keep closed up. Also, the automatic top is super convenient when your hands are dirty, just wave your hand over the top and it opens, toss your trash and in a few seconds it closes. No marks left on the outside of the can.

Was looking for an auto trash can that would leave some money in the bank. Here it is. The can works well, is pretty simple to operate and replace the operating batteries. There is NO pesky "programming" as is so common on minor appliances today. KISS - keep it simple, Sam! If this is your motto- this is the auto trash can for you!

I really like this trash can, it opens and closes by itself and I dont have to touch a thing especially when my hands have icky on them. It is also very easy to remove and insert the trash bag

The trashcan needs to be a little more sensitive to movement. You have to be within 4 inches of the sensor to activate the opening of the lid. The can is not as tall as others contributing to the low response for opening. The positive note it is wider than most and seems to hold more items.

This automatic trash can takes 4 C batteries, NOT D as listed. It has worked as expected. We were a little surprised at how small it looked compared to our old automatic 13 gallon trash can. So far it seems to hold just as much as the other. We do like that it is a simple design. It makes changing the liner much easier and we don’t end up with food gunk inside and outside the lid. Overall, pleased. Would recommend.

Immaculate item description, requires C batteries, not D's, that's the only reason it lost one star. But overall this is a solid choice for an automatic trash can.

Nice modern look to my kitchen over my old plastic flip top trash can. This holds approximately 3/4 the amount as my old can. This is not an issue, and the advantage is that there is less time having trash in my kitchen and the smaller trash bags are infused with odor inhibitor and anti-bacterial coating.

The trash can arrived in good condition, A fine size for my kitchen. looks nice. One big problem, I spent almost $12 for C batteries installed them as shown in the instructions but the motion sensor doesn't sense.

This item is a nice trash can for kitchen use, however, it does not open properly in a random manner. Sometimes it opens fully, sometimes partially, not enough to inser trash, or does not open at all. I will order another as this is an excellent kitchen can, however, sometimes an item is defective or not designed correctly. A replacement will tell me if this is an isolated or persistent issue

I ordered this trash can and the lid had multiple dents. I returned and Sams issued me a new one. The second one was worst than the first one. I returned that one as well and I am still waiting on a refund.
