I don't know what it is about this bacon but when I cook Black Label Bacon, it will wake her up and she has a smile on her face. I use this Black Label bacon for everything I cook with bacon.

I love that they have the low sodium option as well, but the original thick cut is our go-to. Highly recommend...you won't be disappointed!

I bought this thick cut bacon and am very disappointed with the bacon itself. It is extremely thin - paper thin - very fatty, and the slices are not uniformly cut. Some slices are in places almost twice as wide as others, with the extra being paper-thin fat. Most distressing is that I weighed my bacon to divide and freeze in three 1-lb packages. My bacon weighed 2 lbs, 10 oz - 6 ounces short. That’s a big difference! I know my scale is accurate because I routinely buy and weigh out ground beef and other food items for repackaging. I have never had such a shortage. Needless to say, I will not purchase this product in the future and most likely not any any product from this supplier.

I bought this bacon on a regular basis in the past and it was always excellent. Within the last couple of months when I would purchase it, 2 packages were spoiled and another package had freezer burn. I no longer purchase this bacon due to it being a risk.

I always try to purchase thick cut bacon and the price was right for three pounds at less than $14.00. This bacon has good flavor and not too salty. However, it isn't as thick sliced as other brands I have purchased. After cooking it is thin like regular sliced. I may purchase it again because it is flavorful but I prefer thicker slicedbacon

I was left to choose this brand because the wright bacon was all sold out due to hoarding on my last trip. It's not bad as far as bacon goes but it's not as thick as wright bacon, nor is it as tasty. It's very salty in comparison. When wright is back in stock I will be returning to it.

I use it in a variety of dishes, including various bean dishes like green beans, add some to red beans, baked beans, etc. I also like to use it for my cabbage and other greens, in my mac & cheese casserole, crumble for salads, in my stuffed baked potatoes, and of course in omelets. And, just cooking slices and eating as a breakfast side is a staple use. Yummy!

I do" pickup" groceries because of our age. I have, in the past, ordered this bacon. It was OK. This time, it was thick swaths of fat with narrow streaks of meat. I immediately called to complain.I was informed, to return,I needed to take into store.Why do they think I was picking up? I took pictures but can't download to review. ( Did I mention I'm old?)Don't buy! figure out how to get off phone to review,( did I mention I'm old?)

I purchased two packages of Hormel Black Label original. Both packages were a disappointment. The cut of bacon varied from very thin to thick. Some of the strips were in pieces and some were whole. The shrinkage was more prevalent in this brand than others I have bought. The flavor was good though. But I won't be buying this product again.

Been buying this bacon for 10 or 15 years, well satisfied, until the last two times I've purchased it. The time before you could see through it. This last time I believe they killed a 30lb pig instead of a 300lb hog. Shame on Hormel and Sams Inspectors. If your going to sell poor Quality at least lower your prices
