As an retired Meat Cutter, I know lean beef has less flavor, so age it and spice it up! This product has proven repeatedly to be excellent, and often is leaner than stated. It is necessary to understand flavoring and aging beef. Beef Councils post excellent learning materials so you can enjoy the high protein, low fat content. Or, just ask the Meat Cutter at your market!

It tastes like pink slime filler. The quality has definitely changed over time. It is pretty and red on the outside but the inside and bottom is brown. I make hamburger patties, cook and freeze them to eat later and twice I have returned it because of very odd taste. We just refuse to purchase any more.
