Best You Can Put on Your Pickup

My 2004 F150 is on its 2nd set. The first set went over 100,000 and my 2nd set has 75,000 and still has good life left. The Michelins are the only replacement tires that balanced out smooth and road very quiet. The long wear is a great bonus! Purchased 2015.

Incredible all around performance

I drove 102,000 miles on my previous set, rotated every 10k, pushed them a bit further than I should have, down to 2/32 at best. I will never buy anything other than these tires, just replaced the OEM Bridgestones on my 2021 Grand Cherokee L, 63,000 on those. I’m hoping for 90k to 100k from the Defender M/S2 that I just put on. Anyone saying these tires are loud has vehicle issues. New Michelins compared to the roar from OEM Bridgestone is like the difference between a football stadium when they score, to a night in the Arizona desert.

Lots of Lost mileage!

Back in May of 2019 I purchased a full set of 4 - 235/55R19 Michelin Defender LTX tires for our Ford Flex. I'd always been comfortable with Michelin tires for the quality of their construction and safe handling while driving. I also bought them for their mileage warranty! These came with a 65,000 miles guarentee! As of today Saturday 10/25/2025 my vehicle mileage is 89,497, and when I purchased these tires my mileage was approximately 05/09/2019 was 63,067 leaving a total mileage on the tires is only 26,430. My tires are in need of replacement "NOW", as they're only an 1/8th of an inch or less from reaching the wear indicaters in the tires, and the requiring new tires.

Great Tires, Even Better service!

Purchased these on Walmart.com because they were cheaper and intended to get them installed somewhere else. I noticed that I got a ton of free stuff with my Walmart subscription so I had them install it and I got road hazard too! These are super quiet tires and are very smooth compared to my other 4Runner with Nitto Terra Grapplers. Will definitely purchase these when the Nitto's need to be replaced. Will use Walmart for it all as well.

Disappointed

We recently replaced the OEM tires that came on our 2020 F150 with Michelin’s defender ltx m/s 2’s. I was looking for a tire that did everything well with emphasis on performance in snow and on slick roads while being comfortable and QUIET. Literally everyone I spoke to and everything I read about these tires talked about how quiet and comfortable they were. Our truck currently has between 50 and 60 thousand miles on it and we have less than 2,000 miles on the Defender’s, I can say without hesitation these tires are not as quiet as what we took off. If I had it to do over I would put the OEM tires back on.

Michelin Tires Are The Best

The Defender LTX M/S is a highway all-season tire and one of the best tires you can buy in terms of value and price. The cost is slightly more than some of the other tires in its class, but it is worth paying a few extra dollars for. This tire will last twice as long as many similar models, and the handling, traction, and performance are so much better. In this case, you definitely get what you pay for.

Very good tires for Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

Bought my first set of LTX M/S Defenders in 2020. Still had lots of tread at 50K miles 5 years later. They started to get a little louder, but still performed well in dry and wet conditions. All four showed ever so small signs of cracking in the edge touching the rims. Hopefully these LTX M/S2 do as well. Very happy with Michelin tire performance on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland.

LTX MS2 has changed, expect Road Noise

I have purchased 6 sets of Michelin LTX MS tires, the last 3 sets are the newer Defender LTX MS2 version. I have no complaints with ride quality or performance, but the new versions have no had the same tread wear longevity, and the last 2 sets are much louder than they used to be. I first noticed it 6 months ago replacing a different brand with Michelins on an FJ Cruiser, but confirmed when replacing older MS2s with new ones today. Tire noise appeared instantly after install. Frequency and volume both become obvious approaching 50mph and after. Very disappointing change from what were the best tires I’ve ever had in 50 years. Not sure I can live with these.

Amazing tires

I have a lifted Ford F150 and I had a big mud tires and it was a ROUGH and LOUD ride. I had the Michelin Defenders installed today and it’s like a completely different truck. It rides SO MUCH better and quiet it’s hard to believe. I don’t write a lot of reviews, but these tires are truly amazing and deserve a five star review.

Best ever all around performance, period.

Great all around performance from these Defender LTX M/S2 tires. As always, Michelin tires are always the best choice in all categories that matter. They consistently deliver excellent traction, handling and comfort all while providing the longest durability I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been driving for well over fifty years and almost all of those have been on Michelin tires. When purchasing new vehicles which are not factory equipped with Michelin tires, I’ve seen the performance from other manufacturers drop off significantly. In those cases I’ve opted to replace those tires over to Michelin’s at the earliest possible time. I only choose Michelin tires for all of my family vehicles because they have always been the best performing brand I’ve ever experienced.
