I've been a gear head since my teenage days 55 years ago. I can't remember or count the number of vehicles I've owned. I've run Michelins on luxury cars, sports cars, SUV's, high performance cars, race cars, truck fleets, motorcycles, you name it! The build quality, longevity, water dispersion, and traction are superior to any other tires, bar none.

While I think the tires are great, the purchase was an ordeal! A month ago, Sam’s club had a sale where beside the tire manufacturer rebate on a set of tires, Sam’s Club offered free mounting and balancing for three days. When I tried to buy the tires, I was told they were out of stock. I offered to pay that day, so the tire manager said he would contact his area supervisor boat email. He did not get back to me for two weeks - with the a voice mail that informed me that they were still out of stock and did not know when or if they would be available. When I tried to call him back I was directed to a call center. They said I could order the tires through them. They did not know when so I declined. The next day I went to another Sam’s club in our town and explained the problem to him. He said the call center was overseas and they didn’t know about availability. He said he would contact Michelin with his supervisor to check on availability. He then had me pay for the tires but couldn’t honor the free mounting for it was not a current offering anymore. The next day, I received a call from that Sam’s Club that my tires were in, so I picked them up immediately and will have them mounted in a few months. Why is this process so complicated?

I just replaced the Defender LTX M/S tires on my truck after 65,000 miles. There was easily adequate tread to take me to 70,000 miles but with winter coming on I decided to take advantage of the sale local Ford dealers were running this fall and put on a new set of Defender LTX MS2 tires. I figured 65,000 miles without a problem means something and the M/S2 tires are supposed to be a bit better across the board. After having the new tires mounted I had a 2-1/2 hour drive home and it felt like I was driving a new truck; the ride was so much smoother and quieter.

I've used these tires on several vehicles over the years. Very quiet on the road with excellent tread wear.

I have used these tires on all my vehicles. Honda Pilot, Lincoln Navigator and just got theses tires on 2025 Toyota tundra. The dealer tires that came with the tundra were only good for 25k. Michelin defenders always lasted 80-85k when properly rotated on time.

Have Michelin Defender LTX 2 on our Lincoln Navigator, and Defender 2 on our Ford Explorer Platinum. They are the most comfortable, best handling, with perfect traction in all weather conditions. They handle the most aggressive roads, are extremely durable, and the tread outlasts the warranty by many miles.

Sams for tires has gone down hill.....will look elsewhere....no tire disply to look at....taken over by online I guess.... not good....poor effort...don't like the fact they put the weights on the outside at all....

The ride on these tires are rough! not comfortable at all. Very different compared to the original defender ltx m/s which I still have in my wife's car. Bought these tires thinking they were the same.... NOPE not even close. Not to mention they are hard to balance. Need to "road force" balancer to get them right. The only attributes I can say is that they handle pretty good and they are not bad in the rain. BUT since the ride quality is atrocious, then the good not matter no more. Do yourself a favor and go get some Continentals.

Installed on 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 and had terrible vibration and bouncing. Balanced 4 times and last was road force balanced. NO CHANGE!!! Shop replaced and new tires are just as bad. BUYER BEWARE. Shop has tried to make it right but they are the one losing due to bad Michelin tires.
