I've been a gear head since my teenage days 55 years ago. I can't remember or count the number of vehicles I've owned. I've run Michelins on luxury cars, sports cars, SUV's, high performance cars, race cars, truck fleets, motorcycles, you name it! The build quality, longevity, water dispersion, and traction are superior to any other tires, bar none.

While I think the tires are great, the purchase was an ordeal! A month ago, Sam’s club had a sale where beside the tire manufacturer rebate on a set of tires, Sam’s Club offered free mounting and balancing for three days. When I tried to buy the tires, I was told they were out of stock. I offered to pay that day, so the tire manager said he would contact his area supervisor boat email. He did not get back to me for two weeks - with the a voice mail that informed me that they were still out of stock and did not know when or if they would be available. When I tried to call him back I was directed to a call center. They said I could order the tires through them. They did not know when so I declined. The next day I went to another Sam’s club in our town and explained the problem to him. He said the call center was overseas and they didn’t know about availability. He said he would contact Michelin with his supervisor to check on availability. He then had me pay for the tires but couldn’t honor the free mounting for it was not a current offering anymore. The next day, I received a call from that Sam’s Club that my tires were in, so I picked them up immediately and will have them mounted in a few months. Why is this process so complicated?

I've used these tires on several vehicles over the years. Very quiet on the road with excellent tread wear.

I have used these tires on all my vehicles. Honda Pilot, Lincoln Navigator and just got theses tires on 2025 Toyota tundra. The dealer tires that came with the tundra were only good for 25k. Michelin defenders always lasted 80-85k when properly rotated on time.

You need road force balancers for smooth balancing.

These are the only tires I will run on my truck. The last set went almost 80K. There is definitely a sense of pride when I look at these tires, knowing I made the right choice. As a retired professional driver I take tire safety very seriously. I tow a boat and two RVs and the Defenders give me peace of mind.

Replaced the OEM LTX Trail tires on my 2024 Land Cruiser with only 35K miles - horrible tread life on the Trails. The MS/2 is a far more stable and better handling tire that looks better too in my opinion. Mileage dropped some because the MS/2 is a heavier XL rated tire, with a more aggressive tread design and better traction.

Michelin tires are hard to beat, I just put the Defender LTX M/S2 on 2024 Ford Expedition...butter smooth and has performed great in the summer time thunderstorms / interstate travel. Over the years, I've had several sets from the LTX family on SUVs and Pick-ups...just can't say enough about them.

The ride on these tires are rough! not comfortable at all. Very different compared to the original defender ltx m/s which I still have in my wife's car. Bought these tires thinking they were the same.... NOPE not even close. Not to mention they are hard to balance. Need to "road force" balancer to get them right. The only attributes I can say is that they handle pretty good and they are not bad in the rain. BUT since the ride quality is atrocious, then the good not matter no more. Do yourself a favor and go get some Continentals.
