Great product!

Arrived before schedule and was not damaged during shipping for being a heavy item. Mower is easy to assemble with only 4 knobs to attach the handle and no tools required. Also comes with oil so you just need a little gas to be mowing. No priming or setting to choke to start. Just one pull and it's running. Also this has the easiest pull resistance of any mower I've started. Automatic throttle and self propelling at a perfect speed. For 250$, it's the best value I've found online for the features and engine size.

Caveat Emptor, product is junk

I had this product for 2 days. I used it for 20 minutes when it was 90 degrees out and sat down for a 5 minute rest. It then would not restart after I pulled it at least 20 times. To make matters worse, I ordered parts the day before for $24 bucks and $24 delivery. I tried to cancel the order before it shipped via telephone (no answer, only voice mail, which I left) and email (which I sent) when the order status was still in "Fulfillment". In the email and on the voice mail, I indicated I would be returning the product. Then 2 hours later, I get an email saying "Shipped". You be the judge. I know what I think. They wanted the money. Caveate emptor! The product is cheaply priced because the product is cheaply made and the company is cheaply run.

The mower rocks

I don't know what the fools were doing to give this thing a bad review. 10 minutes to set it up and oil it and gas it. 20 minutes to cut front and back yard, back yard is on a decline so this bad boy made the back yard a breeze. It's not a Honda, but unless I missed something Briggs and Stratton is def worth the money on this one, wish I had bought it sooner, but Sam's had this 50.00 bucks off so it was gamble that paid off.

Self Propel Stopped Working

I used about 3-4 times and it worked OK and now the Self Propel feature does not work. Also agree with others that the design is a bit clunky and you need to be able to keep up with the mower when using self propel. Hoping that I can return to store still since purchase was on 6/1

Was a nice mower

I bought this mower to trim along my ditch and house before using my tractor. Started on few pulls(never once) the few times I have used it. Has less than 2 hours service time (still on first tank of gas). Went to use it today, pulled and pulled nothing. After about 25 pulls it started to start but puttered out. Same again and again. So much for their one pull technology. This mower is dead and it shouldn't even need any service for a long time!

Below average so far- questionable durability

I waited with 6 months of use before writing a glowing review that most seem to write after using this mower once or twice. After 6 months of use, would I buy it again? Probably not. Good points: Absolutely starts up every time, usually the first pull. If I shut it off to empty the bag, then sometimes it takes a few pulls to restart, not a big deal to me. Nice that it has multiple cut levels that are easy to change with just one handle to move all 4 wheels up and down, instead of having to do that on all 4 wheels. Handle is fairly sturdy and long enough so you dont have to bend much when moving the mower. The self propel feature I actually find TOO SLOW. I laugh about people that are complaining here about it being too fast. I cut my lawn at a fast walking pace, so I find the only time I use the self propel is when I am on an extreme hill and just want to get it moving, then I let my natural leg speed take over. Was fairly easy to put together. Now, the part you will be interested in, the negatives: Gas cap has come off a few times, even when I know it was tight. Also, the plastic strap attached to the gas cap easily falls off the catch it is attached to, making that useless. Not a show stopper, but annoying. When I am not using the bagger, the chute output is cheap flimsy plastic. If you hit it against something with the slightest bump as you are cutting, it will come off rather easily. I sort of solved that by drilling a hole into the plastic and hooking up a spring to it to attach to the mower deck. Most better mowers have spring loaded chutes, or a more sturdy mechansim, this one is cheap and not designed well. The self propelled wheel in the back is starting to bind up occasionally, not when I am using self propel, but just pushing the mower it feels that the back wheel it locking up slightly. I tried to lubricate it, and will probably have to take it apart to figure out what is binding. Not expecting an issue like this in only 6 months. The plastic piece that covers the drive belt underneath the deck is very flimsy. And, it gets a ton of grass stuck under it that you cannot easily get out, unless you remove the plastic piece. Sort of lousy design and cheap. The bagger option is ok. The grass does somewhat come out of the bag and has a fairly poor seal. But not horrible in my opinion. Others description of that is accurate. The bag is a bit small, as others have said. So, I live with it. The bag also is pretty worn for the first season already, and I can see it probably starting to tear up by next season, so durability of the bag is in question, but it does work. The mulching plug gets installed when you use the chute feature. However, the mulching plug will get clogged with a huge amount of grass after you are done cutting. Requiring you to have to literally remove the mulch plug after every cut to empty the grass out of it. Shouldnt be like that. I also have alot more post cut maintenance this mower than any mower I have owned. I hose it off, clean out the bottom of the deck and make sure the mulch plug or bagger area chutes are cleaned out after every mow. If I was not on top of these things, I am guessing this mower would have had more issues by now. I dont beat on my mowers by any stretch and probably take care of them better than most, so my review is based upon gentle, but regular use by someone who has been cutting lawns for over 40 years. It is just OK by me. I hope it lasts another season or two. But, I have my doubts. Next time I will just spend a few hundred more for a more high end mower and be done with things. This mower is just OK, but if your on the fence, spend more money and buy a higher end model, something you probably arent going to find at a Sams Club.

no control

With the rear wheel drive and no speed adjustment you have no control. I have a bad knee and can't walk fast or it's to hard to push a mower. When using this it take off faster then I can walk and with the rear drive it will did wheelie about a 45'. And we have a small hill about 10' and when I walk down that the mower wants to take off and once again goes in to a wheelie. Only if I could control the drive speed it would be suitable for my needs. I did return this and no question was asked and no problem.

Bad Carb - stay away from this one

This model of lawnmower has a carboretor that is prone to clogging. Look it up online. I own an maintain my cars, motorcycle, generators, etc., so I keep my gas clean and fresh. Unfortunately, this mower started to have a problem after ~4 months. It will start and run for ~5-10 minutes while on autochoke, but once warm it will stall. I cleaned the carb twice, but it is still not working . I then tried to return to Sam's, but was told I'd have to contact the manufacturer for repair (so much for Sam's satisfaction guarantee).

horrible

Worst lawnmower I've ever bought. Ran great three times the fourth the self propelled quit working and not able to fix. Somewhere in my yard is a spring to hold it together. Called customer service twice and was hung up on. Returned it and bought a Honda. Done.

Great mower for the price

This is a straightforward quality product. Strong engine, big wheel rear drive, easy adjustment, and side / bag discharge make this a winner. It has metal where other brands seem to have more and more plastic...looking at the throttle specifically. It is clearly superior to anything I found at Lowes or Home Depot in the same or even higher price range. Assembly is easy, and oil provided. Add fuel, and one pull later, it's mowing. The most critical thing I have right now is that the bag appears adequate if not quite as thick as the Toro push mower it's replacing.
