One Mow In, A Season More To Go!

I have not used a lawnmower in over 13 years, so there was some anxiety with getting back out there. I cut just shy of a third of an acre with no problem. The self propel function made it easy going up slight inclines and hills. I'm glad I went with this product versus going with a more expensive mower.

One time pull Start!!!

After reading the reviews that others posted. I decided to purchase this one because ours was a self propelled lawn mower as well but was slow and eventually quit running. Loved the one time pull that doesn't need choked! Once you get the hang of adjusting the speed with the lever you'll want it to go fast. Makes mowing so much easier. You just have to let go of throttle when you get close to corners. And don't start it with the throttle that controls the speed and you'll be just fine. Our last one was front wheel drive this one is rear wheel and we love this rear wheel !!! Easy to adjust height as well! Love how fast it goes!!!

Awesome Mower.

Best investment ever. Lawnmower comes ready to crank out of the box, with the exception of attaching the handles (quick and simple). Comes with a 15 oz bottle of engine oil, of course youll need to add gas. One pull and it's ready to mow. I love the self propelled feature, its very powerful in self propel mode; makes mowing the lawn a breeze. My 12 year old mows the yard in 15 minutes. *BTW i am a 110 pound lady and I can handle it with one hand in self propel mode.

Excellent mower

I have used my new mower numerous times and am satisfied it meets my needs. It is light, excellent power, really east to start, and I like the one handle cutting level adjustment. The only thing I found odd, was that there is no way to drain the old oil and replace it. You're supposed to just replace the oil as it gets low, or tilt it on the side to drain.

Retired

The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is that I have only used it twice so far and need more time with it...Thus far, I love the easy cranking and one handle for raising and lowering the wheels....It has incredible power when you engage the self-propel mechanism! In fact, almost too much! I just need to work with it more and learn how to handle the power. It is like a greyhound waiting anxiously to get on with the chase!! It just bolts out of the starting block! But, wow, does it move and get the job done quickly and without any hassle....I would definitely recommend it to people who especially have a larger than normal yard...

3 negative 2 positive issues

First issue is rear wheel propelled. It drags you through corners which causes you to let go of the self propelled handle and reengage at each corner. A front wheel propelled does not do that. As you turn the mower by lifting the front wheels the propel is disengaged through the corners and yet provides a much smoother turn as the propel stays engaged but does not force you through corners. The self propel handle itself is not user friendly compared to those with a lever handle. The bagger blows grass straight in your face constantly. Positives: It cranks easily and I do enjoy the one tough raise and lower the wheel option. Result: My next mower will be front wheel propelled again with a grass bagger than does not blow in my face, and a easy pull self propel lever.

Not 22in

I was shopping for a 22in mover. This mower is advertised as 22 in, but the blade is only about 20.5 in long. My old mower had 22in blade. They do say that it has 22in deck! It is deceptive advertisement. The cut looks good. The self-propelled part is ‘funny': it pulls very hard at first, but not much after it is going. I like that I can change the height very easily (can change it just on the edge).

Not your typical Briggs and Stratton

I have always purchased Briggs and Syratton mowers in the past, never had a problem. After pandemic freetime, I purchased this lawnmower so I could stop paying lawncare. Mower ran three times then refused to start. Returned mower, still waiting for my refund. Is it B&S or is it Sams???

Bent axle

Front left axle was bent or manufactured in such a way that the wheel was rubbing on the mower deck. I won't be buying another rear wheel drive unit again either, too squirrely. The speed of the mower is a little too fast for my liking. It would be nice if the speed was adjustable.

Poor quality control.

This was the second mower I bought, same model. The first one the front wheel rubbed against the bed of the mower and would not turn. I returned it. The second one I used for about 20 minutes and the metal piece that is used to set the mower height fell off. It was not welded properly. I returned it. I decided to buy a mower somewhere else.
