Without Ensure he could not have sufficient calories to survive. It is also thick enough that I do not have to add additional thickioner which he often dislikes. Thank you ensure for providing a safe drink for elderly individuals. He is not able to take the extra calorie due to the higher protein putting stress on his kidneys. Instead of swallowing a big pill once a day, I prefer to drink a bottle of butter pecan ensure. It’s delicious and easy for my to keep my vitamin and mineral levels up. I've tried different flavors and different types but the original milk chocolate is the best. When I'm in a hurry and don't have time to make something to eat, ensure keeps me from getting hungry for 2-3 hours until I can get something to eat. It is important to me that he drink them to help with his weight. He is to thin for a man his height. I am so worried that if he was to get sick he would be in bad shape.My dad is 87 and he is going to have a birthday in Aug.
