The mega-pop popcorn kit is a very good bargain, and easy to prepare. No measuring is needed. We use this product at the concession stand in our community theatre, and our guest really enjoys it. This product should be made available in the Sam's store, and not have to be mail-ordered.

These popcorn packets always have good flavor. I've ordered other brands in the past but the Gold medal brand is definitely better tasting. I did realize, these packets are 8 oz size but measured for use with a 6 oz machine. If you zoom in on the actual packets it says premeasured for a 6 oz machine. Which is a bit misleading, because for example in the item description of the 5.5 oz packet box, the item description says FOR USE WITH 4 oz machine. So if you have an 8oz machine you need to buy the 10.6 oz packet size. They should edit descriptions to be more clear which size packet goes with which size machine. The other issue I've had is that a few packets out of almost every box will be busted and there's oil leaking out. There's a plastic liner in the box that helps contain the mess but it happens consistently. I've ordered the same product direct from Gold Medal and had the same issue. When I brought it up to the manufacturer they said could be the shipping or could be the temperature changes that cause packets to break open. Which I guess is possible too, but seems like a stronger seal would help on these packets.

The popcorn is great. We use this brand at camp so I specifically looked for this to buy for use at home. I pop it on the stove using a whirley pop stovetop popper. I bought the 6oz thinking it would fit in the popper but it's actually too much. It ends up making about 1 1/2 large bowls of popcorn. The 4oz would likely fit perfectly in the popper and produce the same amount as the pre-packaged popcorn packs that come with the whirley pop. Also, the price on Sam's Club is the best around. The same product elsewhere (including amazon) is typically more expensive and you'll pay 3x as much for shipping.

This is an excellent product. To simplify use and reduce/eliminate mess I put product bag in the freezer. When readu to use I cut the top off the entire bag and pour kernels into a small glass. Then I squeeze the hardened butter into the popper just after turning the heater and stirrer on. Next I take a couple (usually 6-10) kernels from the drop pan (we used to call them old maids) and place them into the popper, as well. I then wait for a couple minutes and the old maids will pop. I then add the kernels. It turns out perfectly popped corn. When the popping slows to alsmost stop I turn off the burner unit on the popper sleaving the stirrer turning for another minute of so and the last fer reluctant kernels pop. Shut off the stirrer and dump the bucket. Then GAME ON!!

The popcorn has been great and the kids love it. However, the cute cart popcorn popper that we purchased in December for $189 has been nothing but problems. The heating unit quit and now the agitator will not work. It is definately not worth the money and I could never recommend the popcorn popper.

This is exactly what you need for your popcorn popper if you have a 6 oz. kettle. This is great!!!! I bought the popcorn popper from Sam's Club and then I went online and ordered the Mega-pop kit. I don't know about anybody else, but I like things to be easy, and it doesn't get any easier than this. You cut the packet and pour the oil and the popcorn in and that's it!!! You get a batch of wonderfully popped popcorn already buttered and salted. I highly recommend. You don't have to measure anything--it's already done for you!!! And in my kit I got 36 packets for about $25. I have enough popcorn for a while. My family loves it!!!!!

I bought this for our home popper and it's really good. Tastes just like the movie theater popcorn. I do add a little more flavocol to it and the package could be easier to use (it's difficult to get all the oil out without making a mess) but overall it's very tasty and convenient.

This is a great, easy to use, tasty product. It made popping popcorn for church SO easy! No bulky bags of popcorn kernals sitting around getting stale or attacked by mice, etc. Nothing huge & bulky to find storage for in our church that has limited storage. My only negative comment is that it isn't sold in club but only online. Although Sam's Club has the cheapest price for this product ANYWHERE, I'm still not happy I have to pay shipping & remember to order a week in advance vs hitting up my local club.

If you are looking for some movie theater style popcorn this is what ya need. Just be prepare for the kido's to be asking for it every weekend, This is a 6oz. kit that has the coconut oil and the magic flavor salt all in one pack. It makes a BIG serving that is easily shared on movie night. The case was shipped quickly. I received mine in like 2-3 days by fedex. We have even purchased a Krazy Kettle as well from another spot on the web. It's an electric popcorn maker with a rotating mixer in the bottom.

Awesome product for our home theater room popcorn machine. Tastes Great and easy to clean. This heavy box was at my house within 2 days from ordering for a small shipping fee. With shipping fee, it was still $10.00 cheaper than ordering from other online vendors.
