I bought this because i needed to block the doorway to keep my cat away from the christmas tree. the gate specifications are not correct! it does not fit my doorway of 34". so im very disappointed in the product! I would return the gate but I'm pressed for time and I can't just drive to the store to return it because they don't have it in my area! Oh, and she can also jump over the 41" gate, unfortunately, its the tallest gate I could find. So I had to add things to the gate to block my cat from going through or over it.

I bought this gate because it is very tall. Most gates aren not tis tall. I wanted to put this gate in my hallway so I also bought an extension. This worked for a little bit but the bars are a little bit wide and my cat was able to squeeze through the gate. I wanted a tall gate that my cat wouldnt be able to jump but unfortunately I did not think about the width of the bars. She is a little cat and she was able to squeeze through after trying. She can not jump the gate though. Even though this is pressure mounted, the gate is not stable without using the screws that come with the gate to mount the hardware onto the wall. So I had to put holes into my wall. I did end up keeping the gate. i put the gate on my stairwell to prevent my other cat from coming upstairs. he is a very fat cat so he will not be able to squeeze through the bars. again, i had to mount the gate with the screws and hardaware and i had to put a hole into my wall and stair case because the gate will can otherwise be pushed if the hardware is not mounted. i did like this gate although i wish the bars were closer together.

I bought this gate for my puppy, and I needed something that would be tall enough and would last quite a while. He's going to be a big dog, so this was the perfect gate for him. It's simple to set up, and it's easy to maneuver in & out of it. I recommend this to any dog owner looking for a gate for a puppy, or even an adult dog, to keep them from roaming through the house when not at home.

I purchased two of these high gates so I could keep my cats out of certain areas. They jumped right over them. Also, my skinny 2 year old 2 lb. Manchester Terrier could fit through the bars! My older kids were easily able to open and close them, which was good because they are 3 and 7 and need to be able to get to the bathroom. The "door way" is a bit small, but would have been fine had they been tall enough to keep the cats out. I've just decided to let the cats roam where they want and be sure to close the baby's door when she's in her crib.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 15 month old that is into everything! This gate is truly a blessing. He is getting taller so I like that this gate is taller than the normal ones. It was easy to put together and even came with a 4" entender piece for wider door ways. It is a little hard to open but maybe i just need to get the hang of using it more.

I really wanted to like this baby gate, unfortunately it doesn't fit a standard 32" doorway. The instructions state there can be no more than 2" between the gate and door frame but installation leaves a little less than 3" on either side. This would be fine for some uses (e.g., pets) but if you have small kids who might hang on the gate, it's definitely not secure enough. I checked the manufacturer's website to see about possibly buying the smallest extension but it's for openings 34". That said, I'll still give this a decent rating because the gate looks nice and installed easily. It's just disappointing that it does not fit the range of openings stated.

Love it! Took 5 minutes to setup and it is exactly what we needed. Been stepping over a safety gate for months so having the door access is great. We didn't need the extension but it is nice to have if we ever need to move the gate to a larger area. Just wish we would have bought it earlier!

Great quality! There price was reasonable. But. The doorway is VERY narrow. Both hubby and I have to go through side ways. I'm sure it was in write up, I guess it was just hard to imagine the narrowness. Love the tall height as well. The dog can't scale it like the other one we had. Good gate!!

First of all I think somewhere in the description you should mention how wide the actual opening of the door is. I'm no small girl and trying to get through it with a child in one arm and a bag in the other doesn't work with this gate. Was not impressed at all took it back to the store the next day.

This gate has allowed us to keep the dogs confined to one part of the house without us having to continue to climb over conventional baby gates. The extra height also prevents our larger dog from jumping over. No more climbing over gates carrying heavy objects.
