We were completely surprised and HAPPY when we opened the box and it was fully assembled! Took it out and it went right up. It has worked great so far at keeping the dogs away from the baby, and soon enough keeping the baby away from any dangers! I have a HUGE opening from my living room to kitchen that no other gate would fit, and this one blocks that off and wraps around to block off the stairs. I love it, it's amazing!

The item appears to be pretty solid (luckily) and was incredibly easy to set up, despite losing most of the mounting hardware in shipping. The gate locking mechanism is very basic and the design could use some fine tuning where the spring loaded sleeve slips over the metal locking lever. Overall I would rate the hardware 4 stars (possibly higher given that the gate appears to be undamaged from the amount of abuse it took due to the packaging and shipping issue). I still haven't confirmed if any of the plastic hinges and parts are damaged. My most negative criticism is related to the packaging, or the lack of. Now, yes, blame could be directed at the delivery service; however, let's be fair. Items are handled haphazardly in shipping and will take abuse. This is the reason they are packaged so carefully. The item should be packaged accordingly as to prevent damage to the product and loss of the contents of the packaging. Every aspect of the packaging of this product failed my expectations. Half of the tape failed and the ends of the box were nearly open. The cardboard was heavily damaged and there were multiple openings in the box where the contents could fall out. The styrofoam on the corners was destroyed. And the plastic baggie for the hardware was empty and torn. For example; I ordered a different brand gate that I received yesterday and it was delivered the same way. The packaging was of a much heavier construction and the internal packaging was a lot stronger. The other company used cardboard zip tied in each corner to properly support the product and prevent movement and shock damage. The mounting hardware was zip tied to the gate in a similar fashion, but it was in a much higher quality, thicker, bag that easily contained the hardware and prevented the hardware from ripping through the bag. The small dope dealer ziploc baggie used on this product was torn in multiple places, one being across the entire width of the bag. It was completely empty and what screws were left were on my tile floor at my front door. Given the size and weight of the item, the packaging should be a lot stronger. Almost every corner of the box was torn open or damaged. Half of the tape holding the ends shut was coming loose. All of the styrofoam corners were damaged and broken in several pieces, there was even a small metal fragment embedded in one of the styrofoam pieces (not sure what it came from). Quite frankly, I am amazed the gate itself wasn't damaged. I ordered this online and it looked like it had been fired out of a cannon by the time I got it. Some of the mounting hardware is missing, the few screws that were left were falling out of the box while i brought it in the house.

It works just as intended. We bought it to keep our crawler away from our wood stove. My little guy is able to stand up against the playard and it doesn't even move. I have already recommended this to other friends with kids. The door is also easy to use...(for an adult).

We were excited to get this product to help keep our child from roaming the house. It worked great for about a month then the hinges starting breaking. It is almost unusable now and more joints keep breaking. This product just can’t hold up to a 13 month old. I would not recommend this for any thing bigger then a toy poodle as it will break.

This item keeps my active 15 month old great grand daughter in the family room, out of the dining room and off the stairs. We have extra wide doorways throughout the house, this product offered configurative options that allowed us to adjust it just the way we needed.

I got this to replace a pack and play that my son was beginning to dislike. It was easy to set up, and works great! The only flaw I would say is that its not as sturdy as I would like it to be. My son is starting to use anything to stand up and the entire thing has shifted when hes tried to get up.

We needed an enclosure that was sturdy but easy to use, we were pleasantly surprised to find it in a reasonably priced product. Baby is happy with the space she has to play and crawl around in and we have the comfort knowing that she is safe and content.

We got this to keep our grandchildren away from a wood-burning stove. The metal construction means we can set the fence within the 36-inch no-combustibles safety zone around the stove. Works great, looks great - nice fit and finish. Twist knobs on top of each post lock each section in place, or allow it to pivot freely. It can mount to the wall, but we use it freestanding. The gate is important, the fence is a little too high for an adult to step over easily.

Bought this gate thinkjng it was the same ine I already had(the one i had was absolutely great!). Turns out its different and its crap. doesnt fit properly in our area. My son literally breaks it apart every single day just by wiggling it. The joints are so stupidly made it comes apart so easily and is very hard to put back together. Sections of our gate is being held together by zipties. Please dont waste your time

I bought this playard...and it's beyond perfect. However, due to my dog being only 4 lbs, he was able to escape; therefore, i'm returning it. I would HIGHLY recommend this playard for children and dogs (of course, one's that won't fit through the bars). It was very sturdy and easy to open and adjust. I had other's for my son, this by far, was a better one. I wish I had this when my son needed one...life would've been much easier. :)
