I bought this so I could finally start getting some house cleaning done while my 6 month old plays without worrying what she may be getting into. I have it set up in my living room as a play yard. I love how versatile it is. I can set her in it and clean the kitchen while she plays with toys. She uses the "walls" to pull herself up into a standing position but has never been able to move it or get out of it or make it fall over in any way. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to take time to clean their house more often then when baby is sleeping.

This item keeps my active 15 month old great grand daughter in the family room, out of the dining room and off the stairs. We have extra wide doorways throughout the house, this product offered configurative options that allowed us to adjust it just the way we needed.

The gate is sturdy but some important things made me return it before using it: The gate latch is spring loaded with makes it impossible to open with one hand while holding a baby. The wall mount screws are tiny, about an inch long. I dont know how they expect the mounts to hold without using your own screws. Positives are that the gate is solid and folds to many positions. this is useful if you are extending it wall to wall, it can contort around many angles. Seems easy to install.

It anchors well to the wall, either straight on --------- or at a turn |________|. It was one of the few gates on the market that were greater than 10' and not flimsy. Still shakeable by a toddler, but not dangerously so. There are 8 2' panels, or 16' total. If your opening is smaller, you can remove segments. However, the only problem is that if you want to use an odd number of segments for a better fit (instead of an even number), the way the corners and posts are engineered, you really can't. The plastic attachments don't come off the horizontal metal bars and the plastic end caps don't fit the other way. So my installation looks like this: \______/ It could have been engineered more intelligently to use an even or odd number of segments, so I hope the manufacturer reads this in addition to potential customers and subsequently fixes it. And then sends me a new one for doing the job their Quality Assurance department should have done.

This gate fits perfectly in a U shape in front of our wood burning stove. We haven't had to attach the braces to the wall. Our daughter is 16 months old and hasn't attempted to climb on it yet. Using the back wall as a support and setting up in a U shape creates a 5'9" length and 6'1" width. This can easily be adjusted as there are 8 2ft sections, each with a knob between to lock in place. The instructions indicate that if you need to remove a section, 2 2ft sections must be removed together. This set-up in seconds with no tools needed (if you aren't securing the braces to a wall) and seems sturdy. Only negative we noticed is the braces provided come with very short screws that would in no way provide secure support to a wall if you need that. Also there are 8 screws needed, we received 3. It is possible they fell out of the box during transport. We would recommend installing screw anchors with longer screws. If you need that support you'll have to make that adjustment with any product.

I bought this gate to keep our new puppies out of certain areas, keep the puppies from jumping on our grandson and chewing up his toys and to use as a portable playpin for both. it's really long and has a nice sturdy weight to it. We are very pleased with it.

I bought this gate to enclose the botom of my stairs. It worked out great, however it was too big and so I removed parts so I would fit. Beware that it takes some planning to take parts off because of the girl and boy parts of the hinges are not on every piece of gate. It took awhile but it paid off, now I have a great gate at the bottom of my stairs.

I placed our play yard around a pellet stove to prevent our toddler from touching it. The gate closure is difficult for our toddler to figure out but easy enough for her older siblings. I would recommend this item to friends and family and love it may possibly buy another. Only complaint the screws for the wall mounts were very small and we had to use some of our own. All in All would buy another one tomorrow.

We use this in an area with a large door frame, and the door frame is built with awkward diagonal design so standard gates don't work both because of the size and the angles of the doorway. This playard/gate works perfect for the area! It came with wall anchors and folds up into a nice low-profile gate that can be laid flat against one of the walls.

I received this gate just a couple of days after ordering it, which was a very pleasant surprise. I knew it was going to be long and removing a couple of panels was easy and set up was just as easy for me. I needed the gate to go across a larger than normal doorway to keep puppies from going into other parts of the house. I wish I had gotten this gate sooner.
