awesome

I really like this gate. We had received one from amazon as a gift, and the top latch broke, at the time my son was to little to figure it out so we didn't bother looking for a new one right away. These are not cheap gates, we have been looking around for over a year trying to find one compatible. All the ones we found where over $100. Until I found this one. :) I highly recommend this if you have a large area to block off. I've never used it as a full in closure just a room separater. I even used it over Christmas to keep the little one away from the tree :)

Puppy gate

This is a great gate! It’s able to block off very large spaces and I can move it around the house and even outside. I’m using it without securing it to the wall and it’s fine for smaller dogs! I would definitely recommend this product and it was a great price too.

Great product with one flaw

We really like the baby fence. It's very sturdy, the gate works well and is easy to operate, it was easy to set up, and it was easy to adjust the size. The one problem that I found is that you can only change the size by 2 fence pieces. That means you can't change the size by 24 inches, only 48. The way the fence is designed it has male and female parts. They don't give you enough parts to end with two female or two male fence pieces which means you can't change the length of the fence by just one fence piece (24 inches). It would be a quick fix by the company. All they would have to do is include a couple extra pieces to allow you to end with two of the same fence pieces.

Throw away the screws and don't use for stairs

The mounting hardware this gate comes with is a joke. Do yourself a favor, and buy new screws before attempting to attach it to a wall. I wouldn't use this for the top of the stairs either. The rod that you are supposed to use to mount the gate to the wall can be easily jiggled out of the top and bottom brackets.

Lock is not designed toddler proof.

If you are buying it to keep you little one out of a certain place, don't buy this one. It's good for the length but the lock isn't childproof. By niece is 2 yrs old and she figured it out how to open it day 2 of installation. She never saw me open it since I didn't want her to see how it had to be done but it didn't make a difference. Latch doesn't move on top of the other latch but a few millimeters, so it's super easy to open. I need to but a different kind of lock to keep her out of the kitchen. It meeds a better latch system. If it's for your pets it's perfect but not to keep babies away. While we figure it out how to properly lock it, we are using a table and heavy bag to keep the table from being moved by a toddler.

Achieves the goal

We needed a secure small spot for long term dog injury recovery. I like that the door handle can be operated easily with one hand. Installation easy. Works great for our 20 lb. dog. Came with devices to attach to wall but we don't need them. Sturdy enough without them for our situation.

We have an open floorplan and our living room, dining area, and kitchen are all one large space, so we needed something extra wide to contain our 15 month old in her designated play area (living room). This gate will do the job, though it is far from ideal. My biggest issue is that this gate can be moved around/pushed along the floor by toddlers. The width of the opening we enclosed was roughly 15.5’, so 8 panels is too wide and 7 too narrow. We have to use all 8 panels, so the product will only fit if we bend the gates and it is quite loose. I was expecting a tight, straight line of gate across the opening, but it is very movable and our little one loves pushing on it. This is concerning because 1.) she may be able to rip it out of the walls if she pushes too hard and 2.) the legs of the gate are metal and could very well damage our floor if they are constantly sliding along it. I would strongly recommend purchasing felt furniture pads for the legs of each panel to prevent floor damage. Secondly, the latch on the door is extremely hard to open one-handed. Imagine carrying a baby or toddler to the enclosed area with one hand and attempting to open the gate with the other. Impossible. I think it will be a good temporary fix for us while I continue looking for a gate that stretches to the exact length of a room opening and stays tight/unmovable.

Great play yard

Perfect size for my Jack russell puppy. Taller and longer than other fences / play yards of found. I like how sturdy it is and how you can arrange it however you like then simply turn the knobs on top to tighten. I have not yet attached to the wall. Only negative I have is that it seems the gates latch is not the best design and don't know how long it will last if using the gate frequently.

love it!

i use it to keep my puppy in or out of certain rooms in the house. when he is left home during the day, i enclose him in the gate in the kitchen so in case he has any accidents, it's easy to clean up. i didn't like the idea of locking my puppy up in a tiny crate all day so this does the trick perfectly! if i had any small children, this gate would be a godsend, as you could also use it outdoors as a giant playpen. the only issue i had is not realizing that you need to loosen each knob on the gate before you try to bend it. because of this, i broke some knobs on the gate. other than that, it works amazing!!!

Definitely serves it's purpose!

This gate was definitely what we were looking for. We needed a gate that was wide enough for our stairs on our main floor. Our opening is 85 inches wide. This gates comes in extensions which is nice because you can use as many as you need. Instructions were not necessary to mount it or adjust the extensions. I do agree with the other review that you will need a wall anchor. Another really nice feature is that the gate is very easy to use. My 4 and 6 year olds know how to open and lock the gate yet my 1 year(reason we need a gate) cannot figure it out. It is metal so it's sturdy and it is very tasteful. We've only had it for a few days but so far, I'm impressed.
