Outstanding Chairs- Great quality!

We have bought 6 of these for our lake home and absolutely love them. Very well made and easy to assemble. The finish is very smooth and the chairs are very comfortable. Customer service was also very helpful with a minor problem that was resolved very quickly (our fault using the incorrect screw).

Squirrels Eat the material

I love everything about these chairs except critters eat the edges of the arm rests and slats that you sit on. Call Lifetime and they said to spray every month with Critter Ritter, but that's a pain in the neck. I have them at my cabin which i don't to every month, especially in the winter. Tried to add a jpeg photo, but this system who do it.

ordering another one

Love it. Easy assembly. Going to last forever. This thing is quality heavy ! Weighs a lot. Not a cheaply built unit. FYI Might need another person to help move it. Perfect for me since I need it in a very windy area of yard. This thing will not be very easily tipped over. Ordering another one.

Defective material cracked slats

We bought 4 chairs 6 years ago and this year half the slats started cracking. We keep them indoors during winter so not exposed year around. We thought they had a lifetime warranty when we purchased but no. They said we have to buy new replacement slates. The tables we bought are warping snd cracking too. Bad material that doesn’t last. Very disappointing in light of the price we paid.

We're sorry for the confusion. Lifetime is the name of our company, not the length of our warranty. Lifetime Adirondack Chairs are warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of original retail purchase. Defects resulting from acts of nature (weather), misuse, abuse or negligence are not covered under warranty. That being said, we would love to work with you on this, as well as your tables. Please email reviews@lifetime.com so we can look into this further with you.

Adirondack chair assembly

These chairs are very heavy duty and built to last. The color is awesome! I will say that I can only give them four stars because of what a huge hassle and pain in the neck they were to assemble. The single allen wrench that they give you to assemble the chair is an absolute joke! They are very fiddly and difficult to assemble. As a skilled mechanic I had the tools necessary to assemble without using the Allen wrench supplied. In some cases I had to disassemble parts of the chair and reconstruct to get the holes to line up. Be patient as the assembly will take sometime. Also, one of the slats were broken right out of the box and had to reorder replacement.

Will last about 1 year longer than 2 year limited warranty

"Lifetime" is a brand name folks, not a statement. Ours admittedly were outdoors. Kind of seemed that was the place for them. We live in San Diego, so excess of weather isn't the problem. I weight under 200 pounds. About three years out started rotting and splitting where seat slats attach. Most all of the slats are now gone, and chair is useless. So rotted I can't even do a DIY fix. Were nice while they lasted though, and we didn't have the assembly problems others experienced. That, I guess, gets us to two stars. Know what you are getting though: a two year chair.

Comfortable, durable chair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought two of these chairs and are very happy with the quality and durability. The design is very comfortable. The installation instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. Looking forward to relaxing in these chairs throughout the summer.

poor quality - slats break easily

Loved the look of these chairs but shortly after beginning to use them the seat slats began breaking - and we are all thin and do not have children climbing on the chairs!!! Very disappointed to have them break so easily! We bought 4 of these chairs!!!

Very high quality chairs with low quality screws

Really happy with these chairs and assume they will last forever and be much more maintenance free than wood or painted surfaces. Assembly was not bad but I am above average mechanically. The only improvement than should be made is the screws, they are soft. So is the metal hex head tools that come with it. The screw heads round out very easily and so does the wrench. I used a drill and my own bit but had to be very careful to keep it lined up straight and keep from having any screw on a bind. One wrong move and the screw strips out and becomes useless. Also, it would be helpful if there was more of a point on the screw to help find the hole. The pre-drilled holes here lined up well. Be sure to only screw in each screw part way until the whole chair is assembled, then go back and tighten them all. Just be very care with the screws at all time. Very high quality chairs with very low quality screws

Great chair if you replace them after 2 years

I bought 6 of these chairs from Costco, as other reviewers stated there were a couple of challenges putting them together, but no big deal! The chairs are very sturdy & I must say, they are as strong today as they were the day I put them together. My PROBLEM with the chairs is after 2 years they started to chalk. When people would come over & sit in them it would ruin their clothes, think women wearing white jeans (in Florida white jeans go all year long) or light colored tops. Needless to say, they gotta go, I called for warranty help and they just blew me off, after they told me they are having problems with their chairs doing that, but because my chairs are beyond 2 years old,... They're not covered!. So, at the end of the day.... I'm very disappointed & now I need to go out to buy 6 more chairs for New Years.
