Simply put, most all of the 1 star reviews seem to be from people with newly mounted tires that have balance issues. A good tire shop familiar with BFG's and 8-12 ply tires is a must. These need a good quality Paste (lots of it) when mounting to ensure a bead seal and also road force balance (without rushing thru it because they are a trying to max the number of tires sold that day). I spent quite a while in the shop waiting and watching the install, but it was worth it. That said, all Tire Companies sometimes have an imperfect one come off the line, but in that very rare situation a good shop will spot it and stop the install and order a replacement (not put it on anyway knowing it was not right). I have had no issues with mine at any speed and I love the grip, low road noise and overall feel of these tires. Plus, they look super cool ! Very happy with my choice and confident they will last for years.

I really do not like these new all terrains offered by BFG. The ko3 tires are almost brand new and losing traction on dry pavement, something I've never experienced with the ko2 tires. I had two or three sets of ko2 on this truck prior to being phased to the ko3 and everything I loved about the tire and brand is gone. The stability and planted feeling on pavement is gone, it now feels like im riding on the center of the tires if that makes sense. Wet handling seems to be a bit slippier than ko2 version. The appearance is probably the biggest thing im upset about because I like the rugged look of the ko2 and BFG just did not capture it, the tires look rounded to me where as the BFG were good at looking flat and appealing with the tread pattern being the ultimate reason I purchased them in the first place.

These tires have proven to be worth their premium price-tag, mostly! They are comfortable and quiet on-road (a big selling point after running some noisy AT tires from a competitor), and extremely capable off-road! My ONE gripe with the KO3 is that they are only offered as an E-rated tire for 16" wheels, the standard wheel size of most Tacomas. Despite using my truck regularly for moderate off-roading, I feel like the E-rating is overkill for a midsize truck like the Tacoma. This is a HEAVY tire with a stiffer sidewall that significantly impacts the trucks every day drivability. At 50lbs per tire, the truck feels more sluggish and its already not-so-greatly gas mileage has gotten worse. Surely I am not the only one who wishes a lighter, C-rated tire was available in our 265/70 and 265/75 16" sizes!

Issues with 315/70R17 F rated tires I recently got: 1. Cosmetically, there's quite a bit of flash on 3/4 tires. Not something I notice typically, but it's bad which makes me question manufacturing of these. 2. 2/4 tires took over 10oz of weights to balance. My previous KO2s on the same rims took less than 4oz. 3. Even with road force balancing, they still vibrate more than my KO2s. 4. Road noise is similar to KO2s. 5. Wet traction is why I bought these and they seem barely any better than the KO2s they replaced, which were pretty bad in wet/slush/ice. 6. They did great in the snow. Swapping them out for D rated ones in a few days. Hopefully that solves the balancing issue. Guess I'll just deal with subpar wet performance.

Received the KO3s a month ago (295/70/18) I have always ran KO2 tires and the 3 seem to be just as good if not better. Smooth quiet ride. Work great for what I do on the farm. They see a mix of all types of terrain. Sand roads, rock roads, pastures, plowed fields, mud, snow, ice and some highway. Could be happier with how they have performed and look

Recently purchased these tires for my 2024 Toyota 4Runner. I have owned 4 sets of the KO2's in the past and raved about them to everyone. I was super excited to get a set of these as after reading the improvements that BFGoodrich had made to the tire, I didn't know how they could possibly make it any better than the KO2. Well it turns out, they really didn't. Currently this tire has right at about 2000 miles on it, I do not drive this vehicle daily as I have another vehicle to drive. These tires are loud enough on pavement, that it has me questioning if I have a bad wheel bearing or something going on in my front differential. It's really bad, and the drone I hear when driving has now gotten me to the point where I can't unhear it. I absolutely love how these tires look, and they do well enough in snow, I don't really off road the vehicle currently as I live in Colorado and the trails out here really require most of the time a lifted vehicle with larger tires. Currently stock, as the vehicle itself only has 2500 miles on it. I will be going to my local tire shop where I purchased the tires to try and exchange them. Disappointed as I have owned so many brands and types of tires over the years, and I work in the automotive industry, so I have a lot of experience with this stuff, but I can't overlook the noise. Also they have been balanced multiple times and still get a vibration at highway speeds. I think BFGoodrich should have kept the tire the way it was with the KO2. That tire was fantastic. Outside of how this tire looks on a stock 4Runner, which is sick, and the performance in the snow, I can't get behind it. Also in 265/70R17, the tire is 54.9 lbs, and the previous tire I had, a 285/70R17, both LT and both load range E, the larger tire only weighed 51 lbs. Smaller tire weighs more but is supposed to be quieter and wear better? Seems strange to me. Also tires are not cupping or low on air pressure. Just don't know what they actually changed that made this tire worse.

I recently put BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3s on my truck, and they've been excellent — especially in winter conditions. Snow & Slush Performance: The KO3 tread pattern and biting edges really help in snow. They dig in well and maintain traction even in deeper, unpacked snow. I've had confident starts and stops without feeling like I'm slipping around. Ice & Cold Grip: While no all-terrain tire will match a dedicated studded winter tire on ice, the KO3s perform surprisingly well for an A/T. The rubber compound stays pliable in cold temperatures, and I've found grip on slick, icy patches better than I expected. Wet & Slushy Roads: The wide, deep grooves evacuate slush and water effectively. Hydroplaning hasn't been an issue even in heavy wet conditions — which gives peace of mind on winter highways and back roads. On-Road Comfort in Winter: There's a bit of road noise compared to a highway tire, but they're stable and predictable in cold weather driving. Ride quality has been solid on both dry and snowy pavement. Off-Road Winter Trails: On snowy dirt roads and forest trails, the KO3s have been great. They bite into uneven, snowy terrain and hold their line well. I've felt confident on hills and loose surfaces. Wear & Durability: After winter miles, I'm seeing even wear and no unusual signs of degradation. BFGoodrich says the KO3 compound is built for longevity, and that seems to be true in cold weather as well. Pros for Winter:

Have not had my KO3 very long, but have had many KO2 and Good Year Kevlar. When going in from the standard soft dealership tire to a 10-ply tire, people automatically notice the stiffer ride and increased road noise. This is expected. When driving home after having these KO3 tires installed, the first thing I noticed was, when hitting the usual bumps in the road, the ride was much smoother than before. Thinking this cannot be true, I asked my wife what she thought about the ride (believe me, she knows nothing about tires except they turn when driving). She said (no lie), “It's much better than those other tires you had.” As for road noise, the last set of 10-ply tires I bought, the first thing I noticed was road noise. I never noticed any increase in road noise. If anything, they might be quieter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These off road tires are perfect for looks and performance. They are not loud on the road and can handle all terrain in any weather. The KO3s are a step up from the KO2 and not only look great, but are great quality. We received so many compliments on the tires so far and they really make a difference compared to the stock tires on the truck. We have driven in rain and snow, on gravel, dirt, and highways and are impressed by the performance!

So far, the KO3's have proven to be worth their premium price-tag. My ONE complaint, and it is a big one, is that these tires are not available in anything lighter than an E-rating for 16" wheels (the factory wheel size on most Tacomas). I drive a '21 Tacoma that I primarily use as an "overlander," and while a tough AT tire is appreciated for the moderate off-roading I do with it, a heavy E-rated tire feels like overkill 99% of the time. The weight of these tires significantly impacts the truck's everyday performance. At nearly 50 lbs per tire, they sap the truck's power and tank its already not-so-great gas mileage. Really, I'm mostly annoyed because 16" wheels are an incredibly common size amongst Tacomas, and I feel like the demand for 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 tires would be significant enough to warrant a lighter, C-rated tire that's better suited for everyday use.
