Won’t balance

Bought a set of KO3’s for my F350 in January. Truck vibrated badly on the freeway. Took it back and had them road force test them. 2 of the 4 they could not get to a reasonable number. Ordered two replacements. Only one of those were passable. Went in yesterday to get the last replaced, now it’s worse than ever. Entire truck shakes on the freeway. In summary, 3 of 7 tires have been passable and I’m still working on the last one. Big mistake buying these tires. Should have went with K02’s.

Dave, we’re very sorry to hear about the ongoing vibration issues you’ve encountered with your All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires. We understand how frustrating this has been. BFGoodrich off‑road tires are designed to stay securely seated, which makes proper mounting especially important. In some cases, a tire can look correctly installed even if it isn’t seated evenly, which may lead to vibration. This short video explains this in more detail: 👉https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPZcVeJQaOc We recommend continuing to work with your authorized BFG dealer to ensure everything is properly addressed. Our Consumer Care team is also available to review your situation and help with next steps. Feel free to call us at 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Quiet

Just bought a set of 275/60/20 KO3's for my Ram and very happy with these. Very quiet on the hwy but better grip on gravel and light off-road use than my last set of tires I'll not mention the brand but they'd spin if ya looked at em funny. I have noticed a bit of mpg drop but I'll take the trade off hands down.

Best tire I ever bought

Have not had my KO3 very long, but have had many KO2 and Good Year Kevlar. When going in from the standard soft dealership tire to a 10-ply tire, people automatically notice the stiffer ride and increased road noise. This is expected. When driving home after having these KO3 tires installed, the first thing I noticed was, when hitting the usual bumps in the road, the ride was much smoother than before. Thinking this cannot be true, I asked my wife what she thought about the ride (believe me, she knows nothing about tires except they turn when driving). She said (no lie), “It’s much better than those other tires you had.” As for road noise, the last set of 10-ply tires I bought, the first thing I noticed was road noise. I never noticed any increase in road noise. If anything, they might be quieter.

After 10,000 Miles on Alaska Snow and Ice...

On my 2024 Colorado LT, these KO3's with the 3PMSF symbol have provided relatively sure-footedness in snow and most ice conditions. The rubber compound has proven itself in our cold weather, which have been at or below 0 degrees F. The only drawback to them on my Colorado are a stiff ride in the rear -- requiring me to slow down when encountering rutted and 2 or more inches of thick ice on Anchorage streets and our Glenn Hwy. Need to slow down to 45 mph in rutted ice conditions. Are they as good as dedicated and siped snow tires? No. Are they good enough for winter driving once you know their few limitations? Yes -- definitely. A solid 4 to a 4.5-star rating.

Good looks, but a lot of vibrations at highway speed.

The good: quiet, good looking tire. No issues with steering. Can tell much heavier than a typical highway tire when accelerating or stopping which is expected. The bad: gave the tire shop 2 tries to balance. Vibrations at anything over 60 mph. Paid extra for road force. High road force numbers in the 30s and 40s and a bunch of weight on each rim. Returned and went with another tire.

Brad, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the quiet ride and appearance of the All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires, but we’re sorry to learn about the vibration and balancing issues you experienced. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this, vibration can occur if the tire is not seated uniformly on the wheel, even if it appears properly installed. Our Customer Care team is always here to help if you have questions in the future. Please call 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Awesome Tires!

So far these have been great tires. I replaced BF Goodrich K02, which were also great tires. They are very quiet and seem to grip the road well. The F-150 I have them on seems to much more stable with these new Tires. The traction seems good in the snow and rain. I always like the durability of the BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires.

KO2 was better

I really do not like these new all terrains offered by BFG. The ko3 tires are almost brand new and losing traction on dry pavement, something I've never experienced with the ko2 tires. I had two or three sets of ko2 on this truck prior to being phased to the ko3 and everything I loved about the tire and brand is gone. The stability and planted feeling on pavement is gone, it now feels like im riding on the center of the tires if that makes sense. Wet handling seems to be a bit slippier than ko2 version. The appearance is probably the biggest thing im upset about because I like the rugged look of the ko2 and BFG just did not capture it, the tires look rounded to me where as the BFG were good at looking flat and appealing with the tread pattern being the ultimate reason I purchased them in the first place.

Garrett, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires haven't met your expectations, especially regarding on‑road stability, wet and dry traction, and overall appearance. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this feature, problems might arise if the tires aren’t seated properly. We recommend visiting an authorized tire dealer to ensure proper installation and setup. If you have any questions or would like to explore replacement options under our Promise Plan, please don’t hesitate to contact our Consumer Care team at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST). We’re here to help.

Here we go..

With approximately 20,000 miles of use, these tires have developed pronounced cupping, severe uneven tread wear, and chronic balance issues that materially affect ride quality, noise levels, and highway safety. This deterioration is far outside what any reasonable consumer should expect from a premium all-terrain tire marketed for durability and long service life. The tires have been maintained to a standard that eliminates typical user-error explanations. Tire pressure has been consistently maintained within BFGoodrich specifications. The tires have been professionally balanced and rotated at 5,000-mile intervals. A professional alignment has been performed and verified to Thuren Suspension specifications, which fall well within acceptable parameters for both on-road use and tire longevity. Suspension and steering components are in proper working order with no abnormal wear or mechanical deficiencies that would explain this pattern. Despite this, the tires are now extremely difficult—if not impossible—to balance properly. Road noise has increased substantially, and visible cupping is present across multiple tires, indicating a systemic issue rather than an isolated defect. The uniformity and progression of the wear strongly suggest a defect in construction, internal belt integrity, or compound consistency. Of particular concern is that this experience is not unique. A review of publicly available consumer feedback reveals a significant number of similar complaints describing premature cupping, uneven wear, and balance instability with the KO3 model. This establishes a documented pattern of failure. To date, BFGoodrich has not issued a recall, technical service bulletin, or public acknowledgment addressing these recurring defects, despite what appears to be ongoing constructive notice. For a tire positioned and priced as a flagship all-terrain product, this level of performance at only 20,000 miles is indefensible. The condition of these tires represents a premature loss of value and raises legitimate questions regarding quality control, product testing, and corporate response to known issues in the field. I purchased these tires in reliance on BFGoodrich’s reputation for engineering, durability, and accountability. Based on this experience, that reliance was misplaced. Absent a meaningful response or corrective action, I cannot recommend the KO3 and would caution prospective buyers to carefully consider the growing body of evidence indicating premature wear and balance defects. BFGoodrich should treat this matter seriously. The consistency of these failures across multiple consumers suggests an issue that warrants formal investigation and corrective action, not continued silence.

The BEST Tires

I have been a long time user of All-Terrain T/A's because they are simply the best tires. I actually take my pickups and SUV's off-road and flats and tire failures are not an option. I have never had an issue with the many sets of All-Terrain T/A's that I've bought over the years. These KO3's, so far, are no exception. I've got about 3K miles on this set and they are just as good, if not better, than ever. They are just as at home on the highway as they are on a mountain trail. Driving in downtown Austin or up the panhandle hunting whitetails, they are stable and tough and they look pretty good, too.
