Perfect for my SUV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires in size LT265/70R17 LRE for my SUV, and I couldn't be happier with their performance. These tires have truly exceeded my expectations both on and off the road. The fitment was perfect for my car, and installation was smooth and hassle-free. They fit snugly without any need for adjustments, which was a big relief. The traction on various surfaces is outstanding, whether I'm driving on pavement, gravel, or muddy trails. The grip is reliable, providing a sense of security even in wet conditions. I've noticed a significant improvement in handling and stability compared to my previous tires. What impressed me the most is the durability of these tires. After several long trips and some rugged off-roading, they show minimal wear. They seem built to withstand the toughest conditions, which is exactly what I need for my adventures. Another bonus is that these tires are surprisingly quiet for all-terrain models. I expected a lot more road noise, but they are quite smooth and comfortable during highway drives. Overall, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires are a fantastic investment. They offer excellent performance, durability, a comfortable ride, and perfect fitment. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable all-terrain tires.

Won't balance

Bought a set of KO3's for my F350 in January. Truck vibrated badly on the freeway. Took it back and had them road force test them. 2 of the 4 they could not get to a reasonable number. Ordered two replacements. Only one of those were passable. Went in yesterday to get the last replaced, now it's worse than ever. Entire truck shakes on the freeway. In summary, 3 of 7 tires have been passable and I'm still working on the last one. Big mistake buying these tires. Should have went with K02's.

Dave, we’re very sorry to hear about the ongoing vibration issues you’ve encountered with your All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires. We understand how frustrating this has been. BFGoodrich off‑road tires are designed to stay securely seated, which makes proper mounting especially important. In some cases, a tire can look correctly installed even if it isn’t seated evenly, which may lead to vibration. This short video explains this in more detail: 👉https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPZcVeJQaOc We recommend continuing to work with your authorized BFG dealer to ensure everything is properly addressed. Our Consumer Care team is also available to review your situation and help with next steps. Feel free to call us at 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Not as good as K02's

After having the tires for a week they were re balanced as I mentioned my truck was shaking after install and still does after. They do ok in wet weather and didn't have a problem with traction in rain or snow. I had hopes these would be better than the K02's but I don't feel they are.

Gerry, we're sorry to hear you are continuing to experience shaking with your All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires. While it’s good to hear traction has been satisfactory in wet and winter conditions, ongoing vibration isn’t the experience we want for our customers. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Problems might arise if the tires aren’t seated properly. We recommend sharing a quick video tutorial of proper install with your dealer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPZcVeJQaOc If additional support is needed, our Consumer Care team would be glad to help review your concerns and discuss next steps. Our number is 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

KO3 sway

Previous tires were KO2 on a F250. I do small amount of off-roading but mainly around town and towing travel trailer. Installed new KO3 7K miles ago. Since then very noticeable amount of sway when towing. I have a Pro Pride hitch which eliminates sway caused by wind on the trailer, so sway that was not present with KO2 is now very uncomfortable with KO3. Do not purchase KO3 tires if you tow RV. Wish I had my KO2 back.

After 10,000 Miles on Alaska Snow and Ice...

On my 2024 Colorado LT, these KO3's with the 3PMSF symbol have provided relatively sure-footedness in snow and most ice conditions. The rubber compound has proven itself in our cold weather, which have been at or below 0 degrees F. The only drawback to them on my Colorado are a stiff ride in the rear -- requiring me to slow down when encountering rutted and 2 or more inches of thick ice on Anchorage streets and our Glenn Hwy. Need to slow down to 45 mph in rutted ice conditions. Are they as good as dedicated and siped snow tires? No. Are they good enough for winter driving once you know their few limitations? Yes -- definitely. A solid 4 to a 4.5-star rating.

The BEST Tires

I have been a long time user of All-Terrain T/A's because they are simply the best tires. I actually take my pickups and SUV's off-road and flats and tire failures are not an option. I have never had an issue with the many sets of All-Terrain T/A's that I've bought over the years. These KO3's, so far, are no exception. I've got about 3K miles on this set and they are just as good, if not better, than ever. They are just as at home on the highway as they are on a mountain trail. Driving in downtown Austin or up the panhandle hunting whitetails, they are stable and tough and they look pretty good, too.

The Only Tire For Me

These tires have taken me all over this country. From the mountains of the west to the swamps of the east I've never been let down. Great hanging on and off road. The perfect tire in my opinion. I have been running BFG All Terrain tires since 2002, 10-15 sets and I even run the km3s on my Honda Talon.

Good looks, but a lot of vibrations at highway speed.

The good: quiet, good looking tire. No issues with steering. Can tell much heavier than a typical highway tire when accelerating or stopping which is expected. The bad: gave the tire shop 2 tries to balance. Vibrations at anything over 60 mph. Paid extra for road force. High road force numbers in the 30s and 40s and a bunch of weight on each rim. Returned and went with another tire.

Brad, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the quiet ride and appearance of the All‑Terrain T/A KO3 tires, but we’re sorry to learn about the vibration and balancing issues you experienced. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this, vibration can occur if the tire is not seated uniformly on the wheel, even if it appears properly installed. Our Customer Care team is always here to help if you have questions in the future. Please call 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Wont balance

Mounted on 2021 gmc at4 hd. Tires have enough weight on their to fish for a lifetime. Had them balanced twice and one roadforce balance. Same issue. Vibrates in rear. steering wheel wobbles. So its more then one with a issue. Ruined a 100k truck that drove like a dream with the factory goodyears now has a massage feature throughout every seat. Terrible tires ad bfgodrich should reimburse the customers.

We are sorry to hear you are experiencing vibration issues. BFGoodrich designs its off-road tires with tighter beads to prevent unseating. This is critical especially when tires are aired down for off-roading. Because of this feature, problems might arise if the tires aren’t seated properly. The tires may look installed correctly but the tires sometimes won’t be seated uniform against the wheel edge. We recommend consulting with your dealer to ensure the proper mounting lubricant is used and asking them to reference the BFGoodrich Guide to Mounting Performance Tires video for best practices: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPZcVeJQaOc If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to give our Consumer Care team a call at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Stay far away

I had a set of KO2 tires and though the KO3's would be just as good...WRONG. They will not balance. I've had them road forced over 5 times. Anything over 65 causes bad vibration in the steering wheel and so bad that you can feel it through a padded leather seat. I have Nitto trail grapplers on my other truck and they are much better and even quieter. These also have terrible wet traction. Will be going with Nitto for all tires in the future.
