This mattress has absolutely sucked and this company doesn't stand by their word on the 10 year warranty. The amount of money you spend on this mattress is not worth it at all!!! Their customer service absolutely sucks!!! I would not recommend them at all! I have a warranty on my mattress and they won't honor it. Just a complete waist of money!!!!

We purchased our mattress in December of 2016 and I was excited to try it out. I was hoping that the memory foam would help with my shoulders, low back, etc. My husband didn't have any issues. When we went to the store to check the mattresses out, the salesman made a big deal about us laying down on the mattresses so we could select the one that best fit our needs. Well the Medium firm mattress felt wonderful. And we laid on it for quite a while. We also tried the Soft one and it was very soft and didn't seem to have any support. So after discussing with the salesman, he said that it would probably take 60 days to break in the mattress so that it would be like the one we tried in the store. And if we were not happy with it, we could return it for a different one. Within 30 days, both my husband and I could hardly walk when we got up in the morning. The mattress was so hard. I put a foam pad on it and that helped a little. So we went back to the store to see if we could get a different one. They said we should give it more time and that we should not have added the foam - well they weren't sleeping on the darned thing. They also said we could trade it in for the Soft mattress but it would cost more money. I was really frustrated. The thing already cost us an arm and a leg, I felt we had already paid too much and didn't want to pay more money only to find out the soft one wouldn't work either. They also said that the reason the medium mattress felt so good at the store was because so many people had laid on it, trying it out, so it was broken in really good. So we went home disappointed and feeling like we were ripped off and determined to make the mattress work for us so we didn't have to pay more money to the store. After 90 days, the mattress was still as hard as it had been day 1. So we put the foam pad back on it. It has now been over 2 years and it is still as hard as it was on day 1. And yes, the foam pad is still on there. With the foam pad, we aren't limping out of bed. I firmly believe we were delivered the hard mattress. Lessons learned - (1) it does not help to try out mattress in the store, as they are not what you will receive; (2) don't believe the salesman when he says you can bring it back, there will be a catch; (3) buy a cheaper mattress so you can afford to get another one when the new one doesn't work out. I'm writing this at 1:30 am because I can't sleep, my shoulders are aching from laying on the mattress.

It is comfortable and cooling. We appreciate the hybrid construction. Now to find a bed frame that keeps the mattresses from separating from each other!

I have to say, this is the strangest mattress I've ever slept on. It feels like a concrete slab at first touch, but somehow the concrete turns to butter the second you lay on it. The foam forms to every part of me that touches it, from my shoulders, to my hips, to my ankles, and warms quickly, creating a sensation unlike any other I've ever experienced. I used to wake up sore almost every morning on my old mattress (which was a foam hybrid, too, but not the right foam hybrid), but that's not something I've experienced with my new Tempur-Pedic. I keep thinking I should, but I don't. This mattress is expensive, but after sleeping on it a bit, I can see why, and I'm glad I spent the money. Without trying to sound hyperbolic, I can honestly say I've rarely been as comfortable on a mattress as I've been on this one, and once I get used to it and stop waking up to freak out about how awesome it is, I think I'll probably start sleeping a lot better, too.

Pros: Very comfortable! No pressure points, no arms falling asleep. Excellent at motion isolation. I cannot feel my 180 lb husband move at night, or when he gets out of bed. Conforming but not sinking. The hybrid helps make it not feel like quicksand. Not bouncy, not too squishy. I would call it just right. Solidly made. I think this will last for a long time. Cons: Warm! It's not the hottest mattress I've ever slept on, but it really holds heat. The hybrid coils I think are helping with air circulation a bit but not enough. I can still feel warmth on the mattress an hour after I get up. I would avoid if you're a hot sleeper. We're trying different mattress toppers to see if anything helps, kind of a bummer after spending so much on a mattress but you gotta sleep.

The first night I could feel my spine realigning. My previous Tempurpedic was 16yrs old and lost its support. This is a great mattress and very supportive.

we researched, shopped, went to stores laying on all kinds of mattresses, and landed on the Tempur-Adapt. for us, it was a very good choice. it is somewhat cooling, but not totally which is good for my husband. we both feel like we sleep so much better and deeper. I sleep on my side, and back, and either way is supportive and comfortable. I will be anxious to see how this hold up for us. the weird thing is, and I have not seen this mentioned anywhere, is that the California King sheets fit better than our king size sheets did. we just happen to try a CK that my mother had, and it fit great. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in making this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this mattress after sleeping on a cheap competitor mattress for over 10 years. The medium is still quite firm but I've gotten used to it and I love sleeping in the bed. I also purchased the adjustable frame and now go to sleep every night in zero g with the massager on as I fall asleep. It is like being rocked to sleep on a cloud. Now the only thing they need to do is make this version with the soft model so you don't have to go up to the adapt pro to get a softer mattress.

My wife and I opted for a Tempur adapt medium twin xl and a Tempur adapt medium hybrid twin xl. The adapt medium is very comfortable and it really helps with my wife's back pain. The hybrid, which I purchased is SO hard that I find it uncomfortable. We were told the hybrid version was a bit softer but it definitely isn't.

My experience has been bad. I bought the mattress from a local mattress company. When I started to have back problems I called the number for Tempurpedic that said "Need Help? Talk to a sleep Expert." They refused to help me other than to tell me to call the mattress store since i did not buy the mattress direct from Tempurpedic. When one spends a lot of money to buy an expensive mattress, one would want to try it out first and you can't do that by ordering it directly from the manufcturer, I would think. I think I got the run around from Tempurpedic. I spent a lot of money for an expensive mattress and they only were willing to talk about if there was a factory defect. A back problem was a "comfort" issue and I was told to call the mattress store. The most useful comments suggested below says to contain specific information: How this product has changed my life: I have a back problem now. I don't know if it was coincidental with the purchase of the Tempurpedic mattress. But despite giving a phone number to call for help, I felt that they blew me off. Things you love about it: Nothing Things you don't love about it: I spent a lot of money to get a superior mattress, and I don't know if it is contributing to my back problem or not, but Tempurpedic in my opinion is giving me no useful help.
