I live next to a neighbor with a lawn composed of crabgrass and weeds and though our lawns connect the use of Scott's turf builder draws a line and keeps his weeds and crabgrass from invading my lawn. Swear by this product.

You can definitely tell the difference between my lawn and my neighbors that use other brands. I highly recommend all of Scott's product.

Last year I put a different brand of lawn food crabgrass preventer on my lawn and I had crabgrass all over my lawn and my yard looked sick it wasn't green. So this year I'm going to put this brand back on my lawn.my lawn used to look so healthy it was the best looking lawn in the neighbor hood. I'll never go to another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live at my current address for 16 years, and I have the best looking lawn on my block, according to all my neighbors. They ask what I use and I told them I only use scotts turf builder three time a year. Once in Spring then early Summer, then in early Fall.

After reading through recent reviews, there seems to be a common theme in that it works for a while and then crabgrass explodes all over the yard. The same thing happened to me last year. I applied it in March and no crabgrass for several months. By July, there was more crabgrass than ever in my back yard. This is not a "once and done" early season product. If you do not apply it again several months after the initial application you will probably have a lot of crabgrass later in the summer. Scotts should make this clear on the product instructions. I do not mind doing a second application but at least let us know that this does not last for an entire season.

My lawn does hold up well to the kids, droughts and extremly hot and cold weather conditions each year I continue to use this product. I still reseed in the summer; Although my lawn is healthly there it still is not full.

I had a beautiful lawn till assume crabgrass got in it & I usedthis product which didn't help. The crabgrass started taking over& my lawn started dying. Now it is horrible.
