I have been buying and using this chicken base (and beef base as well) for a number of years now. As a paste, it is quicker to dissolve and to disperse than bullion cubes or powder for an instant flavor and umami boost. While one normally thinks of this type of product only for broths, soups, stews, and the like, it is much more versatile than that. For example, it can also be used in sautees, stir frys, gravies, and veggie preps. Add a spoonful to your next dish of green beans, asparagus, or mashed potatoes, for instance. I keep an opened jar of this in the frig where they last for an extended period. Finally, it is far less expensive, and takes up much less cupboard or frig space than chicken stock.

I have always got a jar of this in my fridge. It works in all situations requiring chicken broth, by dissolving it in hot water. I have bought several times before, and will continue to buy. It is convenient to have this larger jar. The price was good too.

I couldn't find my favorite brand of chicken base last trip to Sam's, so got the Member's Mark Chicken Base. I was not very happy about the substitution, but was very delighted with the chicken tortilla soup I made, the base added a really great and subtle flavor that improved my favorite homemade soup! I just wish that the other base flavor I love - Roasted Vegetables - was included in the Members Mark Base flavors!

Excellent substitute for broth and cheaper (but just as good) compared to Better than Bullion. This is a must for so many recipes including soups, Spanish rice, etc.

This chicken base is good and less expensive than its name brand competitor. A bit on the salty side to me but then I may not be diluting it enough. It's a good alternative if you don't keep chicken stock on hand.

More flavor than overly salty granules and more customizable in intensity than buying broth. Price is right too. Use it for broth, gravy, basting, in salad dressings, flavoring rice, an indispensable ingredient!

This is a basic! I use this often and will continue to buy this!

I do like this base better than the popular powder and the iconic cube. But I do get a slight aftertaste. If its competitor NHR was sitting next to it I would pick the competitor. But this comes through in a pinch.

I’ve been purchasing this product for many years, but this chicken base isn’t what it used to be. For some unknown reasons they are putting what looks & feels like crushed bones in this base. I never expected to have to strain this base/water in a fine mesh strainer before using it. My little great grandson was the first to discover the bones in his dumplings. I’m extremely disappointed.

The jar no longer has a gluten free icon on the label as it did with the previous packaging. The website indicates that it is gluten free but the label does not. I returned the jar.
