We're very sorry you experienced sensitivity with our Crest Whitestrips. Please know that your oral health and safety are very important to us, and we thoroughly test our products to be safe when used as directed. As mentioned on the box, any product containing hydrogen peroxide can cause sensitivity. Sometimes it helps to use the strips every other day, rather than every day. We're glad you noticed your smile getting whiter, but are sorry that was accompanied by some sensitivity. Flavor oils, surfactants/foaming agents, tartar control agents, and abrasives all have some potential to cause irritation. While all of our products are safe and effective, some people may not tolerate a particular formulation. If irritation persists or becomes uncomfortable discontinue use. You may like to try a different version such as our Crest 3D White Advanced Stain Shield which strengthens enamel and features Stain Shield protection. We're sorry that this has been your experience, since we can assure you that our products are thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. If you're using our Whitestrips, there are steps you can take to reduce/eliminate this sensitivity. We suggest not brushing too hard, or more than twice a day during treatment, and consider a softer toothbrush in place of a medium or hard bristled brush. As well, you can use our Whitestrips over a longer period of time by waiting a day between applications, or alternating between using an upper and lower strip. We hope this is helpful.
