Having used a Honda for a while I can say this IGEN2500 is not that much louder and a lot more powerful. Unit started on first pull. Overall very happy with the build quality and purchase. Looking forward to using it in the Grand Tetons this summer. Btw the Honda was shared between two brothers so I decided to get myself my own and went with the Westinghouse iGEN2500. We all agree it's a nice and quite unit!

This gem has all the power to run in Emergency situations, for the basic 100ac usage. It is very quiet, which is a huge plus ( if you've owned a Briggs & Stratton generator, you'll understand). Fuel capacity is right for thge sie, with consuption being average to larger generators.

I was impressed that the unit was shipped with the exact amount of oil needed and a funnel to add it. The unit fired up with an easy pull on the very first try. I am also impressed with the various outputs and displays on the unit which provide status. It is a truly excellent product.

This is my first generator, it is just the right capacity to keep us going during a power outage. It can be carried around and doesn't need wheels. I like all the features and ease of set-up. The owner's manual is very well written. I tried it out and couldn't believe how easy it started, first pull! Works good. I like that it can run for 10 hrs. on one gallon and has the load sensitive engine speed control. Also, the carburetor bowl drain is a nice feature.

I purchased this generator 2 years ago because we were loosing power more often than before. When I receive it I ran it like recommended. I didn’t touch it for 2 years. We lost power at 12:30.am. I decided to start the generator at 2:30am. I was expecting a little challenge ( like the lawnmower at the beginning of summer). It began on the first pull. It has now been running just under a day. It is powering my fridge and freezer and has gone through only a few gallons of gas. This was one of the best purchases I have ever bought.

I was looking for an inverter generator that I could run a refrigerator and a few lights on when the power goes out at home. But, I didn't like the price tag of the Honda. I did my research and found that the Westinghouse iGen2500 was just what I needed and at a much reasonable price. So, I got online and bought one. I haven't had the chance to test it out on my house yet but I did run it in my shop with lights and small hand tools plugged in. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it worked and especially how quiet it was. I can literally stand one foot away from it and have a normal conversation without raising my voice. I love this generator.

Just got delivery of item and it looks great. Came with oil and tools necessary to use generator out of box. Unit is quieter than other leading models of this size and caliber. It is lighter than I expect. Just takes a little space in SUV with room to spare with items already loaded. It last a good while on one tank full and powers almost every thing I use when camping or boondocking. Just an awesome little big package.

Excellent generator. The front display panel is great and a big improvement over the Honda my father has. I have used it a few times now just for testing, running the window AC I have in my garage and it handles that perfectly. The only gripes I have, and the reason I gave it 4 stars is that you have to open the side panel fairly often (to empty the fuel and check the oil level if you only use it occasionally) and there is no good way to grab it to pull it off. A small finger pull or handle molded into it would make this generator perfect.

Have operated extensively as emergency b.u. at elevation up to 2k ft. Prefer over the igen2200 which is same size 46 lb weight for its digital data center, 98 cc engine, 18.3 A run 20.8 A motor starting. Economy mode works well idling down as it should and kicking up momentarilly when fridge compressor kicks in. Arrived well packaged and ready to gen in minutes with incl 0.4 qt premeasured oil and fill kit. Starts no effort first pull. Before storing I run it dry on E90 then add a pint of True Fuel and run it dry again. No fumes notice when stored but of course never run inside. May vapor lock if cap is on tight.

I just purchased this Westinghouse iGEN2500C and found it to be packed with features that are only found in larger Inverter Generators. Easily started, monitors carbon monoxide to automatically shut itself down and displays all the important output power and fuel consumption parameters.
