Easy start, runs smooth, fairly quiet. I was glad I bought the 2500W instead of the 2200W since the weight is about the same, but the 2500 has more power and features for not much more money. I can use this tailgating and as a power backup to run my essential appliances.

Generator arrived in good shape. I added the oil that came with it and added gas and it started on the second pull. I ran a pancake compressor and a circular saw intermittently for about 20 minutes to start the brake-in period. So far so good compressor handled that load with no problem.

Everything works as described. Usually when you buy something on-line there always is something not quite what you expected. I can't think of anything to complain about for this generator. The price was right, the manuals were easy to read and the instructions were complete. After I filled the oil and gas it started on the second pull. I let it run for about 5 minutes and it purred like a happy cat. I intend to use it under load in the next few days and I will slend an update if it does not work as described.

Received 7/16/21 by UPS. Opened up, serviced, and cranked first pull, very impressed. After running with no load for about 30 mins, I added a fan to load and got no voltage or wattage outputs from data center readout panel. Sending this one back, but willing to try one more time as I really like the features it has. Will update review after new unit is received and tested.

No problem with size, weight, price. I have no idea on the longevity since I’ve only owned for a couple weeks. The problem I have is the noise! It is advertised as 52 or 53 dB, which it is not. I read up on how this number was calculated to be fair. Downloaded several apps to measure dB and measured distance away from running generator at econo mode, with nothing drawing any electricity, to find the lowest dB reading. Nothing below 59 was recorded.

This little generator will surprise you for its size. Unpacked it filled with oil and non ethanol gas and fired right up. Have only used it with electric hedge trimmers in the yard and it worked flawlessly. Does the job intended for sure. Would have give it 5 stars if they had a better quality control at production.

I only ran it for about 5 hours to break in . So I can't give a honest review except to say I love the how light and quiet it is. I don't like the fact there's no fuel valve which is important. My other generators all have the fuel valve which I turn off and burn out the gas in the carburetor . Keeps it cleaner .

Great generator - I use it with my RV and at home have a second one that I tie together to back up the house - noise level is really good and runs at full tilt when my RV ac starts up and handles it great. The fuel gage and power consumption are great on the control panel - I am never suprised when it is out of gas.

I conducted an outdoor test standing next to the generator. Fairly quiet and easy to start. Light weight at roughly 50lbs. filled the tank and let it run for 6 hours and was still going strong and had a little less than half a tank, also, the outer cover (case), and carry handle were still cool and I could move it around while running. Run time is very good. However, the dB rating is way off. The meter read an average of 77, with the high at full power being 81dB, and the low being 67 dB, It never gets as quiet as advertised at 54dB. Failure on that part. Also the compartment cover that you have to open to get to the oil fill and check rattled during the test run. I will have to put a small piece of high temp insulation around the corner of the cover to stop the vibration. All in all - for the price and performance - I would give it n A-.

Picked this generator up on sale and I am very pleased with its performance. The generator starts easily with just 1 or 2 pulls. Weight is a little heavier than I expected but very reasonable for a 2500-watt generator. It is rated as low as 52 db but I measure sound to be much louder. At the generator with eco mode off it is about 78 db. About 20 ft away sound drops to about 68 db. Eco mode lowers the sound about 5 db. In general, I would still not consider this a loud generator but just not as quiet as I expected it would be. There are 2 screws that hold the side panel on so it allows easy access but toolless access would be nice. The side panel does vibrate a little but adding a couple small pieces of foam stops the rattle. The panel to access the spark plug is on top and it slides out which is nice but it is very difficult to get my hand through the narrow opening. I love the display panel and the ability to pair 2 units together with the addition of a parallel cable so upgrading to more power is very easy. I do wish it allowed you to turn off the fuel and allow the carburetor to run dry when you turn off the generator. If you open the side access panel there is a hose to drain the carburetor, but it would be easier to let it run dry. I would recommend the igen 2500 to anyone looking for a portable generator.
