Just received this unit. It was packed very well and the setup instructions were spot on. Unit cranked with the first pull and ran well. Not eager for a power outage but am eager to give this unit a real test during our next power concern or camping trip.

Watched many videos and reviews on this inverter before purchasing but still couldn't imagine how quiet it was until I first used it. It is very easy to move around and start by yourself. The display for fuel level, output wattage, time remaining, and running voltage is why I decided on this one vs the next model cheaper. It is easy to see from a distance without going outside to check the fuel. I bought this for running my sensitive electronics while my larger generator powers the rest of my house. I look at it this way, this inverter generator is cheaper than buying a new smart tv that could break due to using dirty, unfiltered, unregulated power coming from a conventional generator.

I just got the unit yesterday. Tested with the loads (drills, grinders, saws and a portable cooler) that I expect to use it for. It is very quiet. More features than I expected for the price. I plan on using the unit if I have a power outage for refrigerators and freezer ( not all at one time). I like the display for the run time that is left with different loads and the fuel level display. For a recreational generator there should be 12 volt battery charger terminals. If there were, I would have rated it with 5 stars.

I shopped for generators online for a week and chose the iGen2500. Price, features and warranty were what I was hoping for. Packed extremely well and arrived quickly. As a 69 y.o. woman, I appreciate the lighter weight of this inverter model. Started with no problem and I love the LED digital panel display. Efficiency mode makes a big difference to noise and gas consumption. I bought this to run a chest freezer and a refrigerator/freezer in my house during power outages. I haven’t put it to the ultimate test yet, but I am pleased with everything so far! A friend who owns a heating/AC company felt I had made an excellent choice.

I have not used the generator yet but started it when I purchased it and was pleased with its small size and 2500 amp peak operation. It is not near as niosy as my last generator. Having been through 2 hurricaines and living near the Gulf of Mexico, I hope we never have to use it but I now feel prepared. My last generator was bigger but used fuel at a much more rapid rate. This will operate the window A/C we purchased for emergencies as well as lights and the all important coffee pot!

SCROLL DOWN FOR TIP FOR USE WITH GAS FURNACES I bought this as a backup for my house during ice storms, which happen all too often in Oklahoma City. In 2020 I got to test it out while we were without power for 13 days. Not a fun experience, but a great test for the generator! The generator performed flawlessly. It started up easily, ran great and was able to power the gas furnace, refrigerator, television, internet router and a couple of other electronics. In fact, with all of those things running it still had more capacity! :: GAS FURNACE TIP :: Here's the important tweak I had to make. At first, the furnace would not run at all. I opened up the furnace panel and found a blinking LED indicating that there was a grounding problem. I did some research and eventually came across a forum that suggested that little generators like these sometimes need a neutral bonding plug. I watched a YouTube video on how to make a neutral bonding plug with supplies from the hardware store and it was easy to do myself. Once I plugged the neutral bonding plug into the generator, my furnace happily turned on, lit the gas burner and started up the blower, supplying much needed heat to the whole house. Overall, I highly recommend this generator, as long as you go into it knowing you may need the neutral bonding plug.

This is the second iGen2500 I have purchased. I was hoping one would run the air conditioner on my camp trailer but it wouldn't do it. It apparently will need two of these units. I also purchased the parallel cord. These units run a lot quieter than my old Coleman generator but they are still a bit louder than Honda. For the price difference it is plenty quiet. Has nice features and runs a long time on a tank of gas. We camped for four days at 7000 feet and it ran everything except the air conditioner. Westinghouse makes a high altitude kit that I'm trying to find and will install in both generators because I live at 4000 feet and most use will be above this elevation.

Researched for a month. Decided to go with a Westinghouse iGen2500 because of its light weight, specs that meet my needs, and reviewed performance. I received my new generator today and could not be happier. From packaging, quality of build, and materials, I can tell that my generator was built with care and built to last. Starts easily; no joke; and is very quiet. Did I mention lightweight? Highly recommended.

Just received the generator and it arrived in great condition in a remote area of Alaska. This generator was easy to setup, and the instructions were very clear. It even came with oil. I have only run it with variable loads for the RV but I will be taking it on the jobsite very soon.

The inverter started up on the first pull. The box arrived through the USPS in great condition (no damage). Once unpacked, I filled the crankcase with oil, turned the knob to the choke position and gave it a pull. It started on the first pull. The inverter ran great and was nice and quite. The build quality, the materials used and the fit and finish are great. At this point I am very happy with this purchase.
