Just bought this generator and broke it in. Generator wouldn't start and had to manually choke the engine. The electronic choke didn't work. I downloaded the service bulletin regarding this issue and found a disconnected wire. The wire was connected and the generator starts up as designed. I broke-in the generator without and with a load changing the oil between each cycle. Glad I did. The oil was dirty after the first few break-in cycles. This generator is used for a 5th wheel trailer. Appears to work great for what I use it for. This unit replaced two older Honda 2000s.

We are using this on a 1974 40 ft Boatel Houseboat. It has enough juice for the AC, Fridge and even the 20 gallon water heater. When strapped to the swim platform you barely notice it running. I had one issue thus far where it would not start. I had to remove the maintenance panel and two 8mm hex screws to get another cover off of an air cleaner to get at the carburetor and manually flip the butterfly open on the automatic choke. Since then it has been fine. The battery and oil service doors fall of fairly easily when the machine is jarred where they simply do not fit tight enough. It's my opinion they should be tethered somehow. I called customer service to ask what if any protection the igen 4500 has in a case of overheating. They said they would look into it and call me right back with an answer. Six days since and still no call. I also received notice in the box that if I filled out this review I would get a free cover which I'll desperately need but after the fact I find out that they are completely out and sorry. I'll stick with it but at this point its a low 3 rating range. I would recommend it to a friend because of the great power at such low decibels - but caution them to beware.

It starts super fast even with the remote. So quiet, like you don’t even know it’s running. Great on gas, runs 21 hours on a tank with 1 ton mini split plugged into it. This is my second one and if needed I will purchase another one. Great product !!!!

I purchased the iGen 4500 the beginning of April, it arrived on time as stated. I have tested the iGen on my 50 amp travel trailer and preforms great. I will operate 1 A/C at a time (travel trailer has 2 A/C systems) along with other small appliances. The noise level is low and increases as a heavy load is added, however, I was able to have a conversion standing about 4 to 5 feet away without raising my voice. Very happy so far. My recommendation is if you have a RV get this unit you won't be disappointment.

Very quiet Inverter Generator, plenty of power with a 4500 peak watts and 3700 running watts with a 30 AMP NEMA TT-30R that easily runs the essentials in my Home for power outage without problems. Very convenient to have dual fuels and a remote start, so I can be able to start my Generator without having to go out under the rain.

only 3 stars for the moment because the generator came with a faulty choke that does not work and the push start button does not work. Will give 5 stars when these issues are repaired. I believe this generator will be a great fit for me after the repairs.

This is the first generator that I have ever bought and due to its' high reviews I thought it will work well for me. Setup of the generator was straight forward and easy. I tested the machine for several hours and decided that I would change the oil because "now" is a convenient time for me. I did not want to be tackling it for the first time during a power outage. I found access to the oil change plug very difficult to manage. The opening in the plastic case had a couple of sharp edges and it was a very tight area to get a wrench into and maneuver. It would have been MUCH EASIER if the access panel cover was a little larger on the lower left side. That would allow a socket wrench direct access to the oil plug screw and the process would save much time and scraped knuckles. The machine worked flawlessly even under the load of an electric heater and toaster oven and it was relatively quiet. Overall I am pleased with the generator but I am NOT looking forward to the next oil change.

My new iGen5000cv is just a quiet as my Honda 3000. It was very easy to add the initial charge of oil without spilling a drop since Westinghouse supplied a screw-on funnel to make the set-up easy. The Manual was created by folks that had generator experience and is an excellent document of safety, operation and maintenance. After adding oil, gas and moving the Fuel Switch to Choke, I pulled the Recoil Handel twice and it immediately started. Everything worked as described in the manual. Westinghouse has a great product that was produced with Quality as a Priority. I will tell all my friends who own rural property about this great generator at a very reasonable price. Thanks!

I bought this a few weeks ago. Some folks mentioned a choke issue in reviews but I had zero problems. It started right up out of the box. I love the display panel and all the information it gives you plus the 30A hookup for my camper is fantastic!! My only complaint so far is that the oil drains into the case then drips out of a hole in the bottom. It's chambered in a way to keep oil from going everywhere so it's not a big deal, just not what I expected. Plus it's tight quarters in there! but everything seems to be accessed easily enough and what did I expect from an enclosed generator anyway?

The iGen4500 is a very nice quiet generator. It is very easy to use with push button start as well as remote start. Setup and initial startup was very straight forward. Looking forward to lots of camping trips with this generator in tow! Compared with Honda and Predator Generators and went with the Westinghouse for value and reliability.
