I think it is a quality generator, but one thing I did not appreciate was that the amount of oil provided was more than the generator needed to start. The manual says to add that volume, yet it overflowed and created a large mess for me to deal with during the break-in. It also says in the manual that the generator is shipped without oil. Simply send the amount of oil that the generator needs for start-up so we do not have that issue.

I wrote a review a couple days ago had a little trouble getting it started at first, thought it had something to do with having to hold the start button till the green light blinking then taping the start button but that quit working. I ended up finding after all that it was just like other bad reviews the automatic choke was not working, I opened the face and the side panel with the pull start cord on it and found the choke wiring harness was unplugged. I did a lot of research before buying this generator and the only bad reviews were because of this same problem so was kind of expecting it. The other bad reviews go back a couple of years so am surprised they haven’t figured out a fix for this issue yet but a simple fix if slightly mechanically inclined and have a philips screw driver and a 10mm socket. After plugging in harness it starts on the first try every time,

Bought it 2 weeks ago...only issue I've had was there is no place on my unit to attach the battery strap behind the battery. The unit started up on second push of the button and I ran it with a light load for 2 hrs with no issue. It is very quiet, I will run it this weekend under full load to see if that holds true.

My iGen4500 was delivered today, I put fuel and oil in it, turned the fuel switch on and waited for a minute for the fuel to drain into the carburetor bowl, turned the battery switch on and pressed start. It started the first try even not having fuel in it during shipping. Very satisfied so far!

The size if perfect to run both my RV and use for back up power at the house during a power outage. The remote start was the main feature I was looking for while searching for the right generator. Fuel efficiency, quite operation and safe for sensitive electronics are a huge bonus one gets with an inverter generator. Westinghouse got it right!

Great features when they work. They generator is quiet and works great, good power to run a small home. The remote start feature has some glitches. It works sometimes, but not all the time. There are you tube videos available on how to address the problem. Over all a good little generator!

Have not actually run this unit but it seems like a great option for campers wanting to run AC. We purchased this unit as an upgrade from a couple of smaller 1800 running watt units. I like the fact that it has a 30 amp camper plug on the unit.

Just got the igen4500 and ran it through the break in. No metal whatsoever in the oil after the 1st hour. Changed oil and ran another hour with same results. Put a load on the generator and ran for another hour. Works great! No choke issues. This is a quiet generator and worth every penny IMO.

Have ran it two hours,with no problems. Hooked up the battery, added oil and gas. Hit the start button and it fired right up. Battery charge input socket was very loose, so removed the front panel and tightened the jam nut. Easy fix. Impressed with all the features for the price. If not for the charging port I would have given five stars. Happy with my purchase so far, would buy again.

Quicker than advertised shipping. Would not start out of the box until I connected the automatic choke wire that everyone mentions comes loose during shipping. 10 minutes of pulling panels, connecting the loose connection and putting panels back on and it ran really well. Very impressed with initial quality. More power for considerably less money than a Honda.
