I've been RVing since 2007. I've had Ohan propane that came with my 2007 5th wheel. Sucked down 30lbs propane tank in 3 hours. Last year in my 2017 I bought A champion 7500 to run everything. My mistake to buy such a large unit. My new Gen4500 Runs everything I turn on, which is what I wanted. Only problem I had was I put the fuel switch in closed position when first trying to start. 4* outside so I was thinking great won't start in cold weather. Grabbed the starting direction and read them again. relized the problem as I went through the steps. Turn the gas on, hit the start button, BOOM auto choked and started. Hooked up power to my rv. One item at a time I turned on, speed increased as the load request grew. I was sure I turn something on and it would pop a circuit. I was wrong. Runs like Westinghouse built it too. Very impressed. I'm hoping my bonus cover I chose will be a good fit. We'll see when it gets here.

The igen 4500 is a outstanding inverter/gen and after having many of other kinds this is the best. It runs everything that it need to in my travel trailer it is quite fuel consumption is very low and looks are great. If you are going to get one go for this one and you will be as happy and myself and many of others.

This generator has worked perfectly since day 1. After opening the shipping, I followed the directions, added the supplied oil, added the gas, and it started running without any problems. The generator is used to power my 5th wheel trailer. Between all my trips, the last one was to Tucson,AZ, 2,200 R.T. There has not been any problems with the unit. Since It no longer necessary to stop at a RV campground for power, the generator has almost paid for itself. Will highly recommend the unit

I purchased this particular Inverter generator because of how much power it produces vs cost. It's much cheaper then the Honda's of the world (not saying they are bad just out of my budget. For now). So far it's seems like it will do exactly what I need which is to power my house (minus the 220 loads) items that I will need during a power outage. The newest model does have an hour meter in the digital display. I don't care that the 30 amp plug is upside down or not. Just use a bungee cord or coat hanger around the handle to relieve cord strain and this will keep it plugged in nice and tight. Only have had it a few weeks so can't comment on durability but I bought it for the price and the electric start (other family members come to my house during a hurricane so this allows them to start it) so time will tell

We bought this generator for our Houseboat and look forward to how quiet The IGen4500 is. We love the remote start as well. Super easy to use and start up. Runs great!!! Easy to follow instructions as well. I read a lot of reviews and narrowed it down to this one or the Honda and we are glad we chose the IGen4500!!!

I bought this generator for my travel trailer and so far it has exceeded my expectations. it is easy to use and it seems easy to maintain. changing the oil was a breeze. I didn't know what to expect as far as noise level but compared to most generators, this one is by far quieter. It is heavy at about 100 lbs with fluids but it is a beast of a generator. I am very satisfied with my purchase!

I've used this now for quite awhile, and am finally writing a review. I'm super happy with the purchase after using it awhile. The extending carrying handle and wheels are a must have, I would never get a generator without one, and it's cool to carry it around like it's a piece of luggage. I LOVED having the remote when I was in my camper to turn it on/off. I like the quiet (ECO) mode option. It seems to get pretty good "gas mileage" too. I would highly recommend this for anyone with an RV or need for a generator for camping. One piece of advice, treat it like you would a lawnmower... when winter comes before you get freezing temps, or anytime you're not going to use it for 4 months... run it until it runs completely out of gas and it stalls. Always do this, and the generator will fire right back up when you fill it with gas even years later.

I bought this for our 35' 5th Wheel after struggling with two smaller units in parallel. After a long and tedious Break In period, we have run it ~350 hrs. over the past summer in sweltering heat at times -- over 100F. We run it non stop boondocking for three or four days at a time and have had ZERO Problems with it. The run time is very good, not great when running the AC continuously, but that's what you get in a compact unit. In our RV, we are running the AC, Fridge, Hot Water Heater, Ceiling Fan, Coffee Pot, Microwave, two Satellite receivers with 32" TV's, Device Chargers and the occasional Hair Drier and the coach battery charger. Never all at once, but I don't have to do much "Power Management" and use common sense. However, on a hot day, pulling ~30Amps continuously for hours is not uncommon. I installed a "Soft Start" on the AC. Best investment next to the IGen4500. Makes life easy on everything. Also, a GOOD Break In and load test is really important - to me anyway. The first start up with factory oil was on and off every 30-minutes for a couple of hours allowing it to completely cool off. Then the same with a half load or so with with an electric heater turning the heater on and off every 15-minutes or so. Then an oil change at about 5-6 hours. Then a load of Full Synthetic Mobil Delvac-1 5W-40 Engine Oil. Repeating the same procedure, although going up to full load with two electric heaters, again varying the load between zero, half and full load+ with full cool downs for another 5-6 hours, then another oil change with synthetic. Then I ran it about another ten hours with several cool down / start ups cycles with varying loads of zero up to the maximum output of 4k+ -- for several minutes at a time. After about 20 hours or so, I changed the oil one last time before we hit the road with it. I have been changing the oil at about 100hr intervals since. Zero oil consumption and it comes out pretty clean. Our last trip we ran it non-stop for over 70hrs. After ~350hrs on it, I am pretty happy. It has been the least of my worries traveling.

Had to wait 3 weeks to receive this item, but so far so good! Well worth the wait, fired up right away and ran my 15k a/c on my camper no problem. One little issue with the plastic case being damaged during the shipping. Overall quiet as advertised!!

I purchased the Igen4500 to replace an older,smaller conventional generator. Set up was easy after reading the manual completely first. The generator started right up and I ran it for a half hour or so. It's really quiet compared to the conventional generator. It's primary function will be to supply backup power after a Hurricane. So, it will be a while (hopefully never) before any long term usage. I do not however expect any problems because of the build quality.
