The iGen 4500 inverter generator fits the bill perfectly for my needs. I am 74 yrs old and live in a modest size home. The generator runs very quiet compared to an open frame generator. A feature I'm sure my neighbors will appreciate when running. It provides enough power to run my lights, refrigerator , 8000 BTU window A/C and blower for my gas central air heater which would have been nice to have had during our power blackout here in Texas during that terrible freeze. Now as I mentioned at the start, I'm 74 and my health isn't what it use to be. No longer able to tote around heavy generators anymore. This little guy comes with two wheels in the back and a telescoping handle tucked under the front panel that makes moving it around easy. Another huge plus in my book is the ability to run 15 to 18 hrs on a 3.4 gal tank of gas!

I bought this mainly as a backup to my primary generator which is 4 years old and over a thousand hours on it. It runs for 24 hours sometimes and is starting to struggle in hot weather so this one is for a rest and cool off period for the primary. Unit was packaged very well and no external damage showing from shipping/handling. Instructions were very straight forward and simple. Connect battery, add oil and gas. Tried electric start first and it started instantly. Tested remote start/stop, good. Pull start is very easy compared to my other construction use generators. Fuel shut off worked as it should. Idle feature worked but left it off to test on my 30 amp RV. Plugged in 25 ft cord from RV and cranked AC unit, no problem. Ran frig, coffee maker and microwave ok. Very satisfied with initial performance.

Received this a few days ago, just fired it up for the first time. Worked out of the box after adding oil, gas, and connecting the quick connect battery connection. No problems at all. Love that it has a gas gauge, as well as tells you an estimate of how many hours are left based on the gas currently in the tank. Legal in California, However for some reason Amazon would not ship to my house, but Home Depot would. Same price online at both Amazon and Home Depot, $949 plus tax. Comes with everything you need to get it running, except for gas. Couple things to keep in mind: 1) Do not just dump the full 0.6 quart container of oil in, I found it only takes about 0.5 quarts. 2) Some of the directions incorrectly say you need to hook up the negative terminal of the battery, but that is not the case, you only need to connect the quick-connect battery connector. It's super easy to get running. I find it does run a little louder than I thought it would, but with this much power it's probably the best that can be done.

I am a 64-year-old lady, single, camping enthusiast, and I have no problem using this generator or moving it from my garage to my truck bed. It runs everything in my travel trailer, even the AC, while using the microwave. It's very quiet and I thoroughly enjoy it.

We have not used this product in the summer yet. The set up and ease of starting are a huge bonus at this point. As a woman, I cannot get this out of our pickup alone but two women can. The weight is a pro and a con, very few people will be able to just walk off with it, but that means I will need a little help when I am camping alone. The wheels and handle are a fantastic addition when you need to tweek where you set up the generator. At this point it has preformed well for us. I will post an update about the RV and AC later in the summer.

I wrote a review a couple days ago had a little trouble getting it started at first, thought it had something to do with having to hold the start button till the green light blinking then taping the start button but that quit working. I ended up finding after all that it was just like other bad reviews the automatic choke was not working, I opened the face and the side panel with the pull start cord on it and found the choke wiring harness was unplugged. I did a lot of research before buying this generator and the only bad reviews were because of this same problem so was kind of expecting it. The other bad reviews go back a couple of years so am surprised they haven’t figured out a fix for this issue yet but a simple fix if slightly mechanically inclined and have a philips screw driver and a 10mm socket. After plugging in harness it starts on the first try every time,

I made this purchase after my brother purchased this about two weeks ago. The generator is quiet and handles heavy loads well. The quality of the unit along with the directions and supplied accessories shows the quality of a Westinghouse product.

I'd been wanting a generator/invertor for a long time and I'm glad I got this one. The features are so easy to use. Worked perfect right out of the box. Added oil and gas and started right up. Perfect size for easy storage. BTW the unit is quiet. Talked right next to it while it was running and didn't feel like had to raise my voice. Definitely recommend the igen4500 if your looking for this size.

I received this generator today after researching for a long time on YouTube. It is very quiet unit and started the very first time by the remote. I plan to use camping for my Keystone Cougar with 15000 air conditioner. I checked it out throughly read the manuals. I am happy with this purchase.

purchase a week ago and was very pleased with the display - fuel - power output - hours and time to refuel remaining. very quiet. I can have a conversation very close by generator, came with battery, battery charger, oil and oil spout, tool kit. easy pull-out handle and rear wheels makes it a breeze to move around when you need to. I highly recommend this invertor/generator you will not be disappointed.
